I loved school because it was full of books & paper & art supplies & people -- still some of my most fave things at age 52 :)

Nothing was more exciting than picking out the first day of school outfit!!

School supply shopping was one of my favorite things about school. I still get that excitement when the lists arrive in the mail for my three children. I think that I have more fun than they do, I have a hard time remembering that they get to pick out what they like, not what I think is the cutest or the coolest! I also love the memories of finding out who my teacher is for the year and where my desk was in the classroom.

You know I really did not enjoy school too much. I was picked on a lot. But I did have a few awesome teachers and 2 very amazing VP's. One of which I am still in contact with and she was my 3-6th grade VP!

I loved everything about school! In fact I loved it so much that I became a teacher and hopefully the kids I teach all love school too :)

I loved the smells of school - copies, crayons, glue.
I loved getting new clothes. I loved art and math.

I loved the excitement and newness of the first day of school. Now, many many years later I still have vivid memories of the first day of Kindergarten.

I loved my 4th grade Teacher Miss Lassiter. She was the greatest.

I loved my grade 2 teacher, lots of fond memories of spending time with her in and out of her classroom!

I loved the brand new school clothes and supplies, recess and the last day of school!!

I loved all the high school extra-curricular activities best - homecoming games, football, basketball, prom, etc.

I still love buying school supplies. Now I just use them for altered art and art journaling! Seriously though I have always loved learning and continue to be a life long learner.

I loved the Christmas mart - the PTA set up a "store" with cheap gift items so that the kids could buy stuff for mom and dad and it would be a surprise. Looking back, it was pretty junky stuff! But I thought it was an awesome surprise for my parents!

My favorite thing about school was being with my friends. During the summer we were all usually on vacation or other family functions, so we got to catch up at school...when we should have been learning!? LOL

In high school my favorite class was Photography with Mr. Clark. We had 35mm cameras and a dark room where we learned to process the film and photos. They were mostly B&W but it was SO MUCH FUN!

I always loved my new backpacks and school supplies!

I am a school supply collector as well as scrapbook collector ! What is not exciting to see all the coordinating notebooks, binders, pens, pencils and MARKERS in every beautiful hue ! ! This is a WONDERFUL time of year ( . . and I say that as a middle school Language Arts teacher LOL ) . .

I loved that I was one of the tallest kids in my class...too bad that didn't last past junior high.

I loved creating art projects. Expressing myself through art and projects has always bean a love of mine. Now, I wish my home reflected that a bit more. :)

my favourite place at school was the library and I volunteered there throughout high school as a lunchtime librarian, then several years later became the librarian at my kids school. ahhhhhh - books - bliss
