After I begun studying German in 7th grade, that was always my favorite thing at school. Everyone, but me and my friend, thought that german was horrible because of the grammar, but we loved it and I still like hearing german.

I loved calculus. Even though the subject matter was often confusing, my teacher made everything seem exciting and simple. I would have never survived college calc if I hadn't had him in high school!

I loved school shopping... getting new school supplies and clothes, and the smell of brand new shoes! I especially loved getting my new notebook and paper... I was a story writer and would fill up pages and pages. Junior High and high school I couldn't wait until I could see friends every day that I didn't get to see much over the summer... and then we looked forward to the roller skating parties! So much fun! :)

I really loved that my mum would always take my photo on the first day of school, always in front of our tree in the middle of our front yard, it is great to see my height changing with every school year and i love that she loved me enough to document these very important years!

I loved science. Back then we were using bunsen burners in 6th grade! Art was also another favorite.

Elementary school was my favorite...I can still close my eyes and remember the smells of school...crayons, large cafeteria round sink thing that we all stood at (guess it was the smell of the soap?) and the excitement of getting new clothes and new supplies. Maybe it's why as an educator and out of the school system for 15 years I keep fantasizing (and romanticising) about going back to public school...LOl!

What I loved about school were my teachers that actually made up challenge our own thinking and beliefs. There is no greater way to get the mind working than to make you defend something you believe. I have such fond memories of a few of my teachers because they were tough and they made you think and now as an adult with good reasoning and critical thinking skills I'm thankful to them for helping me develop those skills.

When I was in elementary school (before the best thing about going back was seeing cute boys), I LOVED back to school shopping so I could get a new Sanrio pencil case. You know the ones - they had all kinds of buttons where little drawers popped out of every corner you could think of... You hit a button and you could access your pencils... You hit another button and the sharpener popped out... Another button and ****POOF*** your homework was done automatically!!! Just kidding about that one - I wish! :) And I'm still an office supply dork to this day - I love trying to incorporate things from Staples in my layouts. I completely blames those AWESOME pencil boxes!

One thing I loved about school....when it was OVER!!!! I hated school as a child, I was a bit of a live wire and a big day dreamer so it was not a fun place for me. Ok, maybe not was, I am!!!!
