If you'd like to learn more about my site check out my Welcome or About Ali pages.

Here's a look at a stamp I love from the new catalog and the one I'm using in my layout today:

Hello zig zag!

I decided to do a page that highlights some of the things I love about Anna right now.

Here's a look at my process:

I used the new Hero Arts Zig Zag stamp to create a pattern on my white cardstock with Jenni Bowlin Chewing Gum and Malted Milk inks. I didn't stress about making it perfect because I knew I would be adding content on top.

I started by adding a sticker border (Sassafras for Studio Calico) along the bottom - popping it up with foam dots.

I knew I wanted the title to read "Things I love" and I hoped it would fit in that space. Chipboard letters are American Crafts Goodness by Amy Tangerine.

Photo is 4x6 and was printed with a white border.

And yes, another one of those wood flags is popping up here. I love those things.

"Beautiful" is from a set of GCD Studios Melody Ross Soul Food Collection Chipboard Stickers.

For the journaling I used one of my Awakening 4x6 overlays. I opened it in Photoshop, added my text and printed on cardstock.

Along the bottom of the overlay I added a bit of washi tape (I think that came in a Studio Calico kit), her initials in those great little Lily Bee alphabet letter stickers, and an old metal arrow (I think from 7gypsies). Love those arrows. Someone should make those again.

My favorite traditions---remembering as we hang ornaments collected from our travels or that our little boys made; exchanging one gift with my husband on Christmas Eve all by ourselves; snuggling up with cocoa to watch our favorite Christmas movies.

Thanks for the chance to win! Ali, I'd love to see you make a similar digi stamp---it would be easy to print out that grid to make a hybrid page. Love this layout---I'm realizing more and more that pages like these are the reason I still scrap.

I always love your stamps. In fact I bought an other two sets today. My favorite tradition is the Christmas dinner that gathers the whole family (4 generations) around the table.

What a cute layout! Hero Arts stamps are just great. My favorite holiday tradition is going to Christmas Eve service with all of my family. Singing Silent Night holding our candles at the end of the service makes it such a special time and brings home the reason for it all. I love it!

Great layout, Ali! One of my favorite traditions is the Christmas Eve Candlelight service at our church. I love the quietness and reverence of this service.

One of my favorite traditions is getting up really early on Christmas morning, having hot tea, and opening our stockings just the three of us.

Love your layout Ali, thank you for the inspiration. Our favorite tradition for this time of year is to make up a batch of hot chocolate jump in the car and drive around looking at everyone's Christmas lights and decorations on Christmas Eve. Happy Holidays!

What a great way to use that background stamp. I always forget to use stamps on my layouts but this technique has definitely got to be tried. Thanks for the great inspiration!

I like to put the red rhinestone collar on our dog first thing on December 1. We then can enjoy a walking decoration every hour! Fun!

I think one of my favorite holiday traditions is driving around and looking at Christmas lights. We pile everyone in the car (dogs included), stop and pick up hot chocolate, play Christmas music on the radio and drive around neighborhoods, looking at the beautiful lights.

My favorit tradition is baking homemade cookies! I remember baking with my mother and grandmother form a very young age. I still use some of their recipe's but with a new twist. It is one my fondest memories from childhook and something I love doing every year.

After baking I get to create the tags and packages for my homemade goodies. ;)

TFS...your background for that page is just beautiful and I love the L/O!

One of my favorite Christmas traditions is one that hasn't happened for a very, very long time yet I carry wonderful memories of it in my heart and mind. When I was a little girl we owned a cabin that we would retreat to from the city. Around Thanksgiving we would collect mistletoe for my sister and I to bring home, arrange small clumps with a bow, package, and sell for Christmas. But for me the fun, joy, and whole experience was in the collecting of the mistletoe. My dad would climb high up into trees that had the parasite growing on them. If he couldn't get up into the tree he would wrangle the mistletoe down like a cowboy with a lasso. It was great fun! We would watch and laugh, give directions and catch the mistletoe as it came down.

I'm going to have to scrounge up that picture I've seen of Dad up in the tree getting mistletoe and scrap that. Thanks for the opportunity. Love the zigzag stamp.
