Home Front Giveaway

SC_JANReveal_Newsletter1

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.

One person will receive the January main kit from Studio Calico.

The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.

At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Three people will receive the lovely Word Of The Year necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.

In addition Lisa is offering a discount for readers. Enter "myword15" for 15% off your purchase.

Here's a bit about Lisa and her business:

When
California girl and young mom, Lisa Leonard decided to start her small
jewelry business five years ago, she had no idea how things would take
off.  With a fresh perspective and an artist’s heart she set about
making jewelry that could not be found anywhere else.  Her
hand-stamped, sterling silver jewelry is setting the trends and is
loved by women all over the world.

Her hand-wrought creations have been featured in several
national magazines, such as Parenting Magazine, Pregnancy Magazine,
Victoria Magazine and Wondertime. Online outlets are singing the
praises of Lisa Leonard Designs, including Cookie Magazine and
Glamour.com. Celebrities also love her line, including Josie Bissett,
Jason and Naomi Priestly and Jennie Garth.

Each piece is hand-cut, hammered, stamped, polished and
drilled with care in her California workshop.  You’ll find the perfect
gift for a friend, grandmother, sister or of course, yourself!  And
don’t forget dad or baby.  Lisa offers custom keychain and baby spoons
that will warm the heart.

I'm still working on my word - I'm thinking freedom. The other choice is either move or motion. I want to stop doing nothing and do SOMETHING!

My word this year will be simplify. With the arrival of baby number two this past year, I need to simplify my life as much as possible. Step one will be a major purge of things that do not add beauty or practicality to our lives.
Thanks, as always, for the chance, Ali! Wishing you and your loved ones the happiest of new year's. May 2010 be filled with love, health and happiness, and of course, great stories for you to tell! All the best.

Thanks Ali, for another awesome giveaway! This year my word is offer, and I put that word along with how I am going to use this word, on the cover of a personalized journal I created on snapfish. This year I am focusing not on what I don't have but what I can offer to others: a listening ear, love, my talents, etc.

My word this year is happy because i felt happiness was lacking in my life. I realized i need to be in the moment more and definitely laugh more often. And the word happy just makes me happy.

"Open" is my word for the year - new connections, clear of obstructions, begin or set into action new ideas. I have never scrapbooked before and am now collecting supplies to do so - but in an open way that may be more project oriented than albums.
Thank you for the encouragement to present in our lives.

My word for the year is also going to be the word on my epiphany star from church today, JOY. I need to stop being so worried and picky and find the joy in the everyday moments of my life.

My resolution for this year is to enjoy life--every moment, every challenge, every detail. Life is so short and we don't appreciate all the beauty and blessings that surround us.

My word for the year is "create". I have set different goals for myself to create more things throughout the year rather than just collecting ideas I never get around to making.

My word for this year is PURPOSE. One action I am taking to maintain my focus on this word is introducing the "One Little Word" concept to my classes (I teach English to juniors and seniors, so it is a very appropriate concept for my classes) and sharing my word with them. I will be challenging them to choose their own words, and I will also encourage them to share their words with the class and to help each other (including me) out with keeping focus on those words.

My word for the year is EMBRACE. I have many ideas on how I want to use this word, but I think the thing I want to do most is embrace the stories of myself, my hubby, my son and my daughter, both individually and their respective roles in our family.
Thanks for the chance to win. These are all amazing prizes!!!

This year I want to do a few things for myself - I want to be more purposeful in my actions - whether that is eating, going to the gym, finding time to craft or write. I also want to continue my studies with a group of dear friends. These things too easily slip to the bottom of the priority list when I let them. Happy New Year!

My word is peace this year. I need some peace in my life and a little less hectic. One little thing I'm doing is Sunday night sandwich nights for dinner. We'll have sandwiches and whatever leftovers are in the fridge. It's silly, but it's one less meal to think about and will help me relax a little the night before our week begins again.
