Three people will receive a word necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.

Lisa's been a great supporter of One Little Word the past few years and came up with a really lovely design for this year's words. For 2011, "the word of the year necklace is a thick, narrow tag with a large ball, strung from sterling chain and finished with a freshwater pearl. we'll hand-stamp the tag with your very own word."

A simple necklace is a wonderful way to commemorate your one little word.

I meant to say that I was grateful for coming up with that word, for a while i had been feeling so much resistance, and then it just popped into my mind and made perfect sense.

I am so thankful for many things, but mostly that my son, an Army Captain, returned to the United States safe and sound from Afghanistan after a yearlong deployment.

(Not sure the class would be right for me, but I'd like to be entered for one of the necklaces, pretty please!)

I know 2010 was not a stunning year for many of my friends, but I have little to complain about and much to be grateful for from the past year. One thing in particular: my job. I had been a stay-at-home mom for 21 years and decided it was time to go for a simple part-time job. I applied for a position at my local library and was hired! I don't make very much money, but it's been enough to help us get some extras this year, and I love the work and the people I work with.

I just love this time of year. Time to get organized and new goals and commitments. I'm actually putting a plan together instead of just winging it.

My husband had a cardiac event and continues to have it each day. The doctors are putting him through a battery of tests to determine what caused it and how to treat and care for him. I am thankful that my husband is alive. Alive, it scares me to say that. It scares me when the doctors say that 99% of the people that go through RVOT (my husband's diagnosis) DIE! I AM THANKFUL for each day I have with my husband. We have been given a blessing and the gift of his life. For that I am THANKFUL!

I am thankful for the opportunity to be the Mother of my wonderful daughter, Allison. God has trusted me enough to place this amazing child in my care. Even with a medical disorder, the challenges we face daily are all worth it when I hear her say "I love you, Mama."
