Three people will receive a word necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.

Lisa's been a great supporter of One Little Word the past few years and came up with a really lovely design for this year's words. For 2011, "the word of the year necklace is a thick, narrow tag with a large ball, strung from sterling chain and finished with a freshwater pearl. we'll hand-stamp the tag with your very own word."

A simple necklace is a wonderful way to commemorate your one little word.

This might sound kind of odd and negative, but I am grateful my daughter moved to another state in 2010, leaving her three daughters behind with me. Although my daughter is intelligent, talented, and has a giving heart, she is terribly disfunctional emotionally. I've stepped in countless times both to help her out and to rescue my three granddaughters from her horrible mistakes and to clean up her messes. It's really taken it's toll on me over the years. I love my daughter totally, completely and unconditionally, only now I also love her from a distance. It's much safer for all of us, and I feel like I can breathe again.

2010 presented itself with some challenges...I am thankful that my dad is alive after a fall, breaking his neck, surgery, emergency tracheotomy, coding three times, now recovering in a nursing home. I am also thankful that my mother has gotten stronger. He is 83...she is 82.

I am grateful that I was blessed enough to spend 2010 surrounded by my beloved family and friends, and for the time we spent together, and the relationships we strengthened. I am grateful that I can appreciate not only the good times but the difficult ones also, as at least we can experience these together. I wish you Ali, and all your blog readers, happiness and joy for 2011.

I am thankful that 2010 was the first time in 5 years that we didn't have to visit my Mum in hospital. The only hospital visit we had this year was when our niece & God daughter was born in July.

I am grateful that my sisters twins were born safely just before Christmas. (There was a time when they didn't think they'd be able to have children).

I am grateful for not only my family's health but also our 2 year old pup's health. He was so ill for two full months this year. There were so many ups & downs & it was such an experience for our children. After surgery & recovery he is well today & we are all so happy to have him in our family!

In 2010 I was more mindful and focused on only doing things that were important to me. Less busyness and more quality time.

I'm grateful for the first six months of the year that I got to spend being a stay-at-home mum. I thoroughly enjoyed it and had the best time with my girls.

I am grateful that my husband got a job in mid-February. He had been out of work for the last two Christmases so that was a HUGE blessing. Then in mid-March I got a part-time teaching position. Another huge blessing!

What a great giveaway! I am grateful, that in 2010, the Universe conspired so that I was able to travel 24 hours and arrive in time to be at my mum's bedside when she passed away. I was truly blessed; it was a profound moment which I shall hold onto forever and shall be forever grateful.

I am grateful that my sweet little boy (nephew who feels like a grandchild and who is not really a little boy anymore!) made the decision to dedicate his life to God and get baptized - he is one special young man!

Ali - yet again thanks for a sweet giveaway. I am thankful this year for so much but I think the most precious is the new maturity and postive changes in my youngest daughter -from the heart and her worldview.

I am thankful for my family and my friends, I have a wonderful husband and two amazing 9 year old girls. I have a terrific group of friends. My extended family are all well, healthy and happy.

I am thankful that 2010 was (relatively) uneventful with some wonderful small moments.

I am thankful that my creativity is being re-ignited and I feel I'm on a good path that leads ???????

I am looking forward to this year so our family can PROSPER in 2011.

I am grateful for so many things in my life, but foremost I am grateful for my good health and a healthy eight month old baby boy. After seeing so many in my life suffer this last year and even finding a lump myself I'm grateful for a body that is in good health. (It may not be the exact shape & size I want, but I am grateful for it none the less)
By the way, Happy New Year and thank you for the great giveaways!
