My favorite thing is recording those small details that I know I will forget with time. The funny stories, the laughs, the small stuff. Love being able to record it.

My favorite part about memory keeping is being able to record all the memories and stories when they are fresh in my mind so that I can pass on that legacy to my children. Seeing that I forget everything, I love being able to capture those moments on paper.

My favorite thing about memory keeping right now is that I can begin to save some of the stories my parent's have learned about my family's history. I love that I have so many options to do this with the variety of colors, products, textures out there in papers and embellishments. I can add my own creativity that then gets passed on with the stories and photos!

Right now I have very little spare time to do scrapbooking. I know I could make time, but I never seem to do so. but I don't want to forget the little things. I take a ton of pictures, but they don't tell the whole story, the nitty gritty, the day to day. So what I'm doing is this; in my kitchen I have a calender on the fridge and every day I write down something, whether it be a milestone for the baby or something my three year old did or something mundane like a trip to the library. Then, for longer musings I have a journal for each of them and I write to them in it, telling them my thoughts, dreams, wishes for them and about them. I try to write in this at least monthly. Finally, so I capture what they look like and what they are doing I take a TON of digital pictures. I literally have thousands. Just yesterday I ordered Photo Freedom and I'm hoping that might help me put all three together. ;)

I am loving the mini albums, made out of all different, unique, everyday items. The home projects too. I enjoy finding differnt things to display my pictures. I found a large tart pan at the thrift store last week and past it up. I have been beating myself up ever since. Can't you just see it as a frame in the kitchen...

My favorite thing is to have the stories to go along with the photos. I have 4 young kids and can barely the day to day happenings and I like that I am trying to write things down (like in my blog) to remember all this great stuff that would be forgotten otherwise!

My Favorite thing about memory keeping is capturing a special time that would otherwise not be remembered in the same way with candid photos or my memories in words. Scrapping current things rather than than old is important to me now because the memories are fresher and those pages are more meaningful. When I am done with a page I cant wait to share it with everybody.
    Thanks for all your inspiration!!!!
    LOVE that kit!

    Hey Ali
Very cool looking kit your giving away!
With scrapbooking, I love to record our living both the regular and the big things. Seeing my style evolve over the years is fun to look at. Seeing my family enjoy paging thru the books is very fulfilling too!

Journaling and words, words, words are the most important for me.
Should I pick out one thing it would be the funny stuff my 4 kids have said.
I love to make a layout based on their funny words and sayings.... and the kids love it too!

The best part of memory keeping is it makes me focus on all the positive things in my everyday life. Some times it's these little moments that are the most important to me and I love capturing them in my pages. I know when I or my kids look back at these pages we will cherish these daily memories as much as the bigger events.

Right now, my most favorite thing about memory keeping, is placing all of my finished layouts into page protectors and sharing them with my husband and son.

My favorite thing about scrapbooking right now is that I love making so many "virtual" friends via the internet who share the same hobby. You guys "get it" in a way most of my family and friends don't!

I am loving that I am focusing more on capturing my everyday life and recording what is important to me and my family right now. I love that there will be more than stories of birthday parties and family cookouts in my scrapbooks...there will be snapshots of our lives and who we really are inside.

I love that right now, there is no right or wrong way to do things. If you don't want to do acid-free, fine. If you want it clean and simple, fine. Messy, great. I love the freedom to do as I choose!

First of all thanks for a fantastic giveaway.
My favourite thing about memory keeping remains the same ever since I started this hobby - I have TERRIBLY memory and pictures I took only a couple of months ago...well I have generally forgotten why and where I took them.
My memory is REALLY bad and I find nothing more satisfying to pull out one of my albums having a look through it without having to ask my boyfriend where I took the picture and why. Our hobby totally rocks!

    Hi Ali,
Great giveaway. My favorite part of scrapbooking right now is the journalling.
My middle daughter has been ill and I made a mini album of pictures and stories that details her struggles. It may seem strange to have a bunch of dates and times and hospital admissions in a scrapbook but it really helps to be able to write it down at the end of the day and get rid of it. Helps to move on. She can look at it and see where she's been and it gives us things to talk about.
I also wrote her some letters and put them in there for her to read, if she needs a hug or a smile. Without scrapping I never would have thought of it. Have a good Monday!
    Kim

    Beautiful kit!
I'm in the process of implementing Stacy Julian's library system, and I love seeing all the pictures from just a few years ago! Even if they're not scrapped, the pictures still bring back many good memories.

Without a doubt, it is the keeping of all the funny/cute things my girls say and do. I know I would forget most of them, so I try to record them. I may be waaaaaaaaaaaaaay behind in Christmas pictures, but rest assured that I've captured most of my girls' idiosyncrasies!

My favorite thing is knowing that in the future I'll be able to look back and see (and tell the kids) this kid did this. All three of my boys are very close in age and I have a hard time remembering who did what already, let alone 20 years from now. So at least I'm preserving some of it from fading from memory.
