My fave thing about memory keeping is that with photo/s + words so many emotions can be elicited. It makes me feel ALIVE to possibly be able to evoke or create this for our family. Memory keeping connects us to our past, present and future. Heidi

My favorite thing right now is using supplies in new ways...moving away from so much linear and trying to be more random. But, as always for me, my memory keeping is a way for me to be actively grateful which is a huge contribution to my overall happiness! laura

my fav thing right now is to just document down the conversations that occur at some point in our lives. i used to 'hold back' from scrapping due to lack of photos or 'wrong photos'.. i figured in the process of waiting for the right photos to come along, i miss out so many other chances of documenting down my life. so now, with or without photo, i'll still scrap. in place of photos, i put memorabilla, or conversations :) i love it. it's awesome :)

My favorite thing about memory keeping right now are the photos I have been taking. I never thought I could take the photos that I do. This craft has opened my eyes and I love that. The memory books I make are a little bonus and a way to show my talent. I just love this craft;)

Because my short term memory seems to be nonexistent these days (used up in college and with kids), I am trying to document my memories with photos and by trying to keep my blog updated. Even though what I write about may not be interesting to other people, they are the things that I want to remember the most.

Remembering....my daughter moves out and starts her own home next month, to teach college... happy and sad both. Both my parents have been gone for years and I have only one brother, 12 years older than me so I have no one to share my childhood with or my memories so I find the joy in remembering them myself.

Right now, my favorite thing about memory keeping is being able to relive my most happy moments with a dear friend that recently passed away. Being able to scrap photos of times we shared has helped me rethink my own life and I am truly enjoying every minute I have to scrap! I miss her but being able to look back on those memories as they are still fresh in my mind is the best thing I can do for both her friends and family and also myself.

Memory keeping is important to me because my parents were too poor to ever have a camera. I have one or two candid shots of me as a kid and the only other photos I have are school photos.
I think it is why I take so many photos of my kids :)
I want them to have tangible memories to look back at.

My favorite part of memory keepng is knowing that I am leaving behind our family legacy. I also just love looking back at all the photo's and seeing how much everyone has changed throughout the years.

My favorite thing is being able to look back and take a trip down memory lane. There are so many little life details that get forgotten and thru scrapbooking I can preserve our lives memories. Right now I am really making an effort to use my supplies. I have so much stuff that I was holding on to - waiting for the 'perfect pictures' - now I am going for it. I am using my stash and I am loving the results!

My very favorite thing about memory keeping right now is all of the incredible products that are available now. When I first started, it seemed like finding products was so incredibly difficult. Now there are so many gorgeous choices, it's sometimes difficult to choose just one line that I really "have to have!"

Right now, my favorite thing is keeping memories of the ordinary. It's the memories I tend to forget but tells a lot about me and my thoughts. It's about the unplanned.

I have always loved preserving my memories. Even as a kid I cut out images from magazines and put them in scrapbooks. (Literally 'scrap'.)
So for me it's the memories that's most important for me.
Reliving a certain event or everyday thing. That's the main reason why I scrapbook.

Hi Ali, Wow - what a huge amount of comments!! My favourite part about memory keeping is capturing the here and now. My kids are 7 and 9 now and they are so unique. I want to remember that uniqueness. Scrapbooking lets me grab their personalities, quirks and everyday stuff and record it forever. Just as good as bottling it. They change way too fast to let it go by the wayside.

It's all about being able to look back and be reminded of all the little things that make me happy right now. The kids adore being able to look at their baby albums and say, "that's baby ME! I was so cute!" I just love to look back at all the little details that I've forgotten over time and be reminded once again. I can't capture everything, but in the last several years, I've certainly "saved" a lot of memories.

Favorite thing about memory keeping right now and always has been is my calendar. I've had a Amy Knapp Family Organizer for the last 7 years. Besides writing down the schedules for everyone, I put little notes in there week by week. In all the chaos of trying new organizing systems and such, it is a constant that is easy to use, do and to keep until the day I can try and catch up with my scrapbooking . . . . . which I am sure will NEVER happen, but a girl can dream . . .
Thanks for all your inspiration Ali. You rock!

    Hi Ali,
I read your blog every day and I am very impressed by your book „Life Artist“. It is important for me to tell all the daily stories of my family, especially my two children. My daughter is 15 and on the journey to find her own way. My son is 7 years old and a little schoolboy. I love them so much! But they love not to see me with my camera every day, every moment ;-))
Thank you for your blog and your art!!

Hi Ali, Thanks for the chance to win.
Taking pictures of my two boys is and has always been my favorite thing about memory keeping. We live, work, play, and I take pictures. Then I get to create art with them. I love that.

My favourite thing about memory keeping right now is...
Even though I do not have children yet, I know that I am telling the stories of how their parents have lived before their arrival and that I am documenting the past.

Its just remembering those things about your kids that you never think you will forget ... but inevitably do when they move onto the next stage. Its so nice to have a reminder in a book to bring back all those memories. Thanks
