My favorite parts besides playing with the paper and glue:
a. reveling in the growth of my three girls in pictures, my they get big fast!
b. so my will have no doubt in their minds that their evolution as people was something I highly value
c. to show their future husbands one day what beautiful precious girls they were and that their parents care what happens to them so they better treat these women accordingly ;)

My favorite thing about memory keeping right now is that I am a single mom to three adorable daughters and even though times are hard I love to capture life and then be able to look back at it later. For a while I stopped scapbooking because I wasn't sure there was anything I wanted to remember about this time in our lives, but then I realized that there is beauty in the hard times too. I also scrapbook to capture all of the times that I miss, ie first day of school, school programs etc. It makes me feel like I'm doing all I can, even though I can't be there.

I have been making a scrapbook this year all about ME! I started it on my birthday. My favorite part about it is paying attention to my daily routine. And telling my everyday stories. I think my kids will appreciate it when they are my age.

One of my favorite things about memeory keeping is all the great inspirational designs and products available today. It so easy to catch the little daily details.

Scrapbooking is a great part of my memory keeping process but my favorite part of it is picking some photos and going back in time while I put my page together. I love all the memories it brings back!

Lately I am SO into the WORDS. Journaling and storytelling and basic layouts that let me say lots.

I love looking back over the last 18 months of my twin boys' lives and remembering all that they have done and accomplished...without it I wouldn't remember a 1/16th of it!

My favorite thing is spending time with my 2 best friends once a month and croppin' from 6pm-2am. We share our memories, talent, supplies and a GREAT time. Then the next day when my children or grandchildren want to see what I did at "scrapbookin'" last nite!

My favorite thing about memory keeping right now is doing it for others who may not normally take the time to do it for themselves. My mother, for instance, spends so much time taking care of others, be it church members, my father, my ailing grandmother, or my siblings and their children, that she doesn't do anything for herself. I enjoy scrapbooking for her because she is so appreciative of the collection of memories and photos, and just loves to have a token or reminder of family and our love for each other.

My favorite thing about memory keeping right now is getting them in reasonable order, i.e., all photo albums in the same place, memorabilia in the same place (instead of different places throughout the house).
Someone at my son's school had a house fire during a thunder storm and lost everything in their attic (lots of memorabilia). It put a spark under me to get things where I could reach them quickly.
Thanks,
Michelle

My favorite thing is watching my kids look through my books and seeing how much they enjoy reading what I journaled. I sometimes agonize over what to write, only to find later that any little bit of detail makes them happy and sparks a memory.

My favorite thing about memory keeping is the ability for my family to go back whenever THEY want and relive our history without anyone else, thank god for Journaling:)

my favourite thing about memory keeping is documenting all the funny things my 3 and a half year old daughter is coming up with. Each week she has a new "catch phrase" and there's no way for me to keep track of them all (fish memory) so that's the task at hand!! Cheers!

I have to say my favorite thing about memory keeping right now is the joy my 8 year-old son experiences looking through all of our family scrapbooks. He is the one I am doing all of this for, so I just can't even express what it means to me to see him continually flip through the albums and ask questions about what he sees inside! PURE BLISS! = )

My favourite thing about memory keeping is the fact that I can display progress or rather that it enables me to discover progress made over a course of time - be it external (a child growing up) or internal (personal development).

My favorite thing about scrapbooking right now is that whenever my 15-year-old niece comes for a visit, she always looks through my albums. I love to watch her sitting on the floor, pulling the heavy books off the shelf one by one, paging through the memories of all the happy times we've spent together. And I love that she wants to make her own scrapbook now too.

My favorite thing about memory keeping is helping my parents document their past so that they remember different events. It prompts them into telling me the stories of their lives. I will have those events documented for me and my chldren to learn from and remember.

My favorite thing about memory keeping right now is that it is "me" time. Being a wife, mom of a 6 year old, 4 year old and busy 1 year, as well as a kindergarten teacher, there is not much time left for me! That is where scrapbooking comes in...creativity, archiving, journaling and "my music!" Paradise!

Hi, Ali. I certainly don't envy your task of reading through all of these comments and choosing only two. What an overwhelming response! I am feeling dizzy just from reading through some of them.
My favourite thing about memory keeping right now is living in and documenting the 'right now', all of the little details of my family's life that I would otherwise struggle to remember in a few years or even in a few months. For me it is about documenting the significant and sometimes seemigly insignificant changes in my children's development and personalities, in my own life and my loved ones' lives. And the way I feel or don't feel about those changes. I love that I love to look back over the last three years and look at at stories. I love that I can watch my children and husband look back over the pages I have created and remember moments and events and laugh about their memories. Although I crave the opportunity to create and enjoy the process, the finished product and the joy that it brings is my favourite thing right now.

My fav thing about memory keeping has always been recording the little details in life that might be forgotten. Like how my son went through a stage of saying "I love you to the moon and back and the city" he only said that for about six months but now ha has a page dedicated to that little saying I loved so much and it will never be forgotten.

My favorite thing about memory keeping recently is the fct that my 5 year old niece and nephew loved the albums I made for them and made it a point to tell me so(on their own). That makes it all worth it.
