    Hi Ali,
My favourite part of memory keeping is being able to share - not only do I get to play and have fun with my own scrapbooking but I also teach others. It is a priveledge to be able to share their stories too!
Thanks for being so generous :)

hmmm right now? it has to be remembering my personal growth as a person... how far i've come since then. sounds kinda selfish i know (almost everyone i know scraps for their kids or parents or spouses!) but it's something i just had to do for myself - document my growth. this way, i can look back next time on the memories and laugh/cry/be appalled at how i was like!

    Hi Ali...
I would have to say that my most favourite thing about memory keeping right now is using found objects in a project: adding a post card as a page in a travel journal, for example. Or a tag from a purchased item. Using those bits of the "everyday".

My kids are little (2 and almost 4) and what I love about keeping memories in photo and journalling form is the way it lets me see the changes in their bodies and minds. I've been inspired by your "Today" pages you did of Simon and am so happy I have been making them so I can remember the little things that really define our lives.

My favorite part of memory keeping is being able to go on a journey of sharing, creativity and artistry. Everytime I finish a layout or a mini-album there's that certain feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment. Finishing one of my layouts may sometimes take a number of days but it's all worth it. Going back to the albums and reading the journaling always puts a smile in someone's face.

My favorite part about memory keeping is the creative process. I love being able to spend some quality time all by myself creating something I love. Of course I'm delighted to see that my daughters and my husband love to look at the pages I make.

    hi Ali,
off to checkout that tutorial in a moment, but right now my favorite thing is taking the time to document how i really feel about things, the good and the bad. looking back it makes things much more complete, and it's quite a luxury to be able to spend time thinking about things and learning more about me in the process.

I love that it is my time, it's what I get to do to make me happy. The fact that it makes other family members is just a bonus!

My favorite thing about memory keeping is that it reminds me that we each have memories stored away for a later time. These are special times that happened in years past and the very same times that I want to share with my children and future generations. I want them to read the happiness that I convey, or the sadness, whichever may be the case in any particular memory that I am writing about. This way they get to know me better, and I get the pleasure of reliving the events in my mind.

    Hope I'm not too late...
My favourite thing about memory keeping is re-reading what I have written a few months later and reliving the moment.
The old memory isn't as good as it was !!

my scrapbook has replaced my journal. i think of it as a journal with pictures. it aids me in working through some of the things that bother me and for that reason even though i have no one that i am "writing to", it is invaluable.

My fav is that I, now, feel like I can use any medium to document my/family memories. I used to feel that I could only use paper and embelishments. FINALLY, I can use what I want, paint, fabric, and not feel so out in left field.

I have been feeling a little ungrateful lately (with no real reason to) and when I take the time to look at my photos and write the stories, it brings things back into perspective. For me its not just for looking back on these memories it is for appreciating them now.

I try to record my youth... all the parties, friends, my love, our trips, feelings and trends. It would have been nice to see my parents' life before we were born in their scrapbooks. But unfortunately they don't have any. :(

My favorite part of memory keeping right now is actually trying to encourage others to write down the memories - document them. I have several friends and family that have young children. Mine is grown and it happened so fast! How I wish that I scrapbooked during his growing up years. Back then I thought I'd remember the special moments - but I don't. So I always tell my sister and other friends - write it down, journal, whatever - just get it down so you can look back and remember!

my favorite thing is seeing my loved ones go through the albums and so we can remember the events all over again. I also love the fact that through this hobby, or really it is a way of life, i have met so many nice, cool and wonderful people all over the world!

My favorite thing about memory keeping right now is my first grandchild!! He is three weeks old and I want to capture every moment. As any Mom knows babies change so fast - I have five kids so I know :) Maybe I will be able to keep up with his pictures. I am still working on my own kids! Thanks for all the motivation and ideas.

There are 2 things for me - the photograph and the journaling. A great photo is always a good reminder of the memory while the journaling gives the details of that memory. That is why I think that both go hand in hand.
