Recently I've been scheduling time to work on memory keeping. It's important to me and even if I only get 15 minutes...well, that's 15 minutes I got to create little pieces of art about the ones I love!

The older I get, the faster time goes. Remember when our parents would say that and we would laugh? They were right. It's so important to me to save and preserve the stories of our family. Our children grow much too fast.

    Ali,
My favorite thing about scrapbooking is to preserve memories of my 2 daugthers and something for them to keep forever. It is also a creative outlet for me! I love photography and I love being creative. I'm glad I get to capture these moments and I also love journaling to remember the stories!

My favorite thing about memory keeping is that when I am long gone my children and grandchildren will have my thoughts, feelings, and stories with the forever. Looks like a fabulous kit!

My favourite thing is when my kids look back at something and say they don't remember that...I'm giving them back memories that they had lost. Lisa L.

    Hi Ali,
my favorite thing about memory keeping is catching the little moments and give our memories a special place. I love looking at pictures from the past and remember the stories - it is something personal we can give to our children, grandchildren and the next generations!

My favorite thing is how working with a photo actually takes you back to that moment in time and you can relive it so much more clearly than you would if were just flipping through a pile of photos in an old album. I love how with some photos you can experience the moment to the point where you can smell the smells and hear the sounds that were going on that day.

I love memory keeping, because it is so easy to forget...
You are all confident about life, thinking "I WILL remember this, all the details, what was said"..only to find a short time later that it is fuzzy, not as clear. It is a beautiful thing to be able to look back and be reminded because you took the time to write it down, record it, and celebrate it!

my favorite thing about memory keeping is going through the albums of my 14 and 16 yr old with my 7 yr old and having her relive the experiences before she was born. She'll go in and look at her baby book as well...that and having the 16 yr old dd say..."Mom...that is so WRONG to have naked baby pics of me in the tub (NO PORN...just cute little butt!".

My favorite thing about memory keeping right now is getting my thoughts recorded. I've tried to keep a notebook with me at all times, but sometimes that just doesn't work when I'm thinking of something while driving. So I have enlisted the help of my 10 year old daughter. She has enjoyed helping me remember the little gems of the day by writing them down for me or with me. This has become my ALL TIME favorite thing because it has created such special "joint mission" we are on together and also, has helped her understand that those little memories are important. And having those little notes in her handwriting is priceless! I want to do a whole mini book with just her notes in it!
Thanks for all your inspiration! Your blog and my morning coffee start my day off right!!!! xo

My favorite thing is watching my 4yr old daughter look at her scrapbooks. She probably will have way too many pictures of herself, but I'm glad I can do that for her. Only wish I had a few more pictures/albums of me as a child.

The best part about memory keeping right now is that there is so much to learn!! There are so many options for telling stories and reliving time spent together with family-layouts, minibooks, acrylic, hybrid, and digital! I love it all! Thanks, Ali!

Memory keeping lately has been very important to me. My friends and I have been talking lately about our Dash You know the time between when you are born and when you die (basically your lifetime).
I have had some life changing things happening to me lately so memories and keeping them are very important to me lately.
I would love one of these kits for inspiration to create a memory that will last forever.
    Thanks for all you do

    Hi Ali,
I want to show my kids how wonderful life is.
Scrapbooking of any kind (digital, hybrid or paper) is the best way to do that.
    I love your blog.

I have not seriously scrapbooked in a few years, but am finally finding my way back into my room and enjoying it again. It was particularly hard for me to scrapbook since I lost my Dad 2 years ago, August 6th....everytime I would go into my scrapbook room I would run into pictures with my Dad and I just would stare at them and couldn't even start to think about putting them onto paper and making a layout with them. I am slowly starting to include old pictures with my Dad and the family and feeling good about it. I can get through a layout now without crying.... So right now I am enjoying all the memories.

Hi Ali... LOVE your blog to pieces.. You are all inspiring. I am just getting into scrapbooking so I'm having so much fun playing with my digi camera. I'm actually attending a scrapbooking weekend at Jiminy Peek ski resort in MA in October and cant wait.

My favorite thing about memory keeping RIGHT NOW is that it is so versatile...so easy to express your mood daily. When I started scrapbooking, it was a lot more "stuffy" but these days, anything is possible and for the creative me, that is such a good thing!

Right now, my favourite thing about memory keeping is to spread the word of it – here in Germany, scrapbooking isn't as widely known as it is in the US, and most people "simply" have quite "clean" photo albums. I like to encourage my friends to start little booklets to collect whatever they find worth treasuring, as I think that keeping memories doesn't need to be a "big deal" – but can be part of our everyday life as we continue our journey.

I travel every week for my job. I love to document my 'fun' travels so that it helps me remember why I do those 'other' travels.

    I absolutely LOVE Studio Calico!
My fav. thing about memory keeping at this moment has been going back to all the previous pages I've done, putting them into AC albums (inspired by you!), and journaling more on them. So most have journaling from about the time the photo was taken and I'm adding thoughts from looking back at them now. It's interesting how much more I have to add/want to remember after time has passed.

I love the fact that there are ABSOLUTELY NO RULES! It's such fun to document memories in a creative way that is unique & special. It's simply another form of art :)
And of course the products available at the moment are just so pretty & inspiring, they make you want to create.

I would have to say that my favorite part of memory keeping is the stuff my kids will look at some day. My hubby and I are in our mid/early 20s and I've been trying hard to document the pictures and current catch-phrases (example: a picture of my engagement with journaling about my new "bling.")
Some day, we'll have kids and they'll crack up at all of our goofy clothes, words, etc.
