Hey Ali! My favorite thing right now about scrapbooking is that I now see my life in a series of my favorite images. I can't remember what it felt like to hold my first newborn daughter, but I can look at my pictures and see how happy I was and how peaceful she looked. And that is just one of thousands of wonderful memories that I can reflect on in my books!

I love having my kids do some of the journaling on their pages. I love the way they may phrase a sentence and I also get to capture their handwriting thru the years

perspective. currently into scrapping family pictures from my early, early days as a toddler. seeing how we were, and what we are now, and that time goes so amazingly quick...it keeps me close to the earth about what is important, and causes me to renew and shift my thinking all the time.
    thanks, ali!

Hi Ali! I have been reading your blog for awhile now and just wanted to say thanks for sharing your creativity with us bloggers. It is so much fun to see what others are doing and to be inspired to go and make cool things of your own.

Right now I've started scrapping a Deck Of Me - it's the first scrapping I've done just for me and it's really refreshing!
Thank you for all of your inspiration - I love seeing Simon grow successful with autism as my 5 year old sun has recently been educationally diagnosed on the spectrum and we're on a waiting list for medical testing.

My favorite thing right now is that memory keeping has made me more aware of the beauty around me. I keep my camera with me all the time so I can capture the little moments that make me smile or that show who my family is RIGHT NOW. One thing I'm trying to capture "on film" is cows swimming! I'm from the south and so it's SUPER hot right now. It makes me smile when I drive by and see a cow wading in a pond trying to keep cool! I know that's a bit dorky, but that's what I mean about capturing little things that make me smile!

My favorite thing is that although I never seem to have time to actually scrap these days, I do my best to keep up with memories on my blog. As a new mom I know I won't remember everything I want to, hard as I try.

My favorite thing about memory keeping is the ability to go back and read through it. I haven't had much time for scrapbooking recently due to home rearrangement - new scrapping area and making a nursery! But I have ben blogging my memories and I have a journal for my pregnancy to keep all of those memories for when I can scrapbook again. :)

My favorite thing about memory keeping is the scrappers ability to be unique. When i first started scraping I was very intimidated by other peoples work but I have learn throughout the year that I am just a simple scrapbooker and its ok.

My favorite thing about memory keeping is mini travel journals. It is a great way to capture the excitment of a trip while we are there. I then add photos when we get back. I keep them in a basket on our coffee table and they are picked up often and looked at with family and friends.

my favorite thing about keeping memories now is to look back at the old layouts and reflect on other times; laugh at stupid hair-do's & love the good hair days; talk out loud to myself about how 'hot I was back then'ha,ha! give myself 'attagirls' for writing down the sweet things the g'babies said or did, because now I don't remember! I love the fun scrapbooking gives back! MB

My fave thing is being able to always remember the little details (especially about trips--it's crazy how much you forget about vacations once you get home if you don't write everything down!) and the "ordinary" moments. I love looking back on happy times!

Ahh, if only I scrapped 10 years ago when my first DD was born.. I'd be able to look back on all her first and remember every tiny little detail. That's what preserving memories to me means.. recording all the details.. even if there are minute, kwim?

Memory Keeping is important now, because I have a child...and time truly is flying by now. If I don't record the memories...will I remember them in a few years?

memory keeping for me is making sure that i have the special moments saved and not on my computer only. this computer will help me with my memories, but there is something special about being able to touch what you make.

I have a terrible memory (I can barely remember my past and the little things always slip away). That is what I try to remember, the little things. How my son looked going to school or how he lost his tooth. If I don't take a photo and write it down I will not remember it. Its very sad. I wish I was like others that could remember going to school or their first Halloween. But since my parents didn't take thousands of photos, those memories are lost. I don't want to lose a minute of my kids lives.
    Thanks for the giveaway!

my favorite thing about memory keeping is combining the story held in a photo with some additional words.....mostly inspired by my children-thier stories-thier growth.

    Hi Ali,
I'm new to scrapbooking, but my favorite thing about memory keeping now is all of the creative ideas that I've read on your blog (and others) about the importance of capturing the MOMENTS of life, and the wonderful array of supplies and embellishments that can help me do this.
I lost my Mom (my best friend) very unexpectedly in February - and in sorting through her things with my sister, our favorite keepsakes were little things that indeed recall moments: Mom's favorite vase, her magnifying glass, the dictionary she always kept by her chair, the pitcher she always used used for lemonade, the juice glasses we used at breakfast, etc. These tangible things have no monetary value, but are priceless to me precisely because having them calls to mind the moments I was so blessed to have.
It seems that memory keeping today realizes the importance of capturing moments - and after all, what is a life, but a series of moments?
I very much enjoy your blog, and your artistic style - I think you're very gifted. And thank you for the opportunity to win one of these kits!

    Hi Ali,
My favorite thing about memory keeping is getting other people excited, right now a coworker and my mother-in-law are hooked, which is a great way to share something I absolutely LOVE doing!

My favorite thing about memory keeping are all the great new embellishments and techniques used to jazz up our pages. I'm so thankful I started scrapbooking when my twins were newborn. I think the memories I am putting down on paper are going to be such treasures to our little family one day.
Time goes by so fast, and it's impossible to remember all the little details.

I have 3 & 5 year old boys and right now my favorite thing to do with them is to read their scrapbooks at bedtime instead of regular stories. Listening to them 'remember' the moment provides me with more insite to the journaling that can always be added/changed the next day while it is fresh in my memory. They each have 3 albums and I just rotate them around and I am sure to ask a ton of questions about what they remember. I am always greatful for the information tha is provided on your blog ... IT IS MY FAVORITE!!
