Memory keeping allows me to live in the moment and to have that moment stay with me forever.

I want my children to be able to remember the earlier days of their childhood. Scrapbooking enables me to document the history that my family makes daily. It can be as small as a loose tooth, my children saying something funny, new jobs or my mom telling my kids how much she loves them. I want my kids and their kids to know how powerful scrapbooking can show my love I have for them yesterday, today, tomorrow and so on!!

My favorite thing is watching my son's eyes light up when we work on a project together. He is almost 6, but has fallen head over heels in love with memory preservation. It is the cutest thing to see in a rough and tumble little boy!

My favorite part of memory keeping is just being able to put down in words and picturesthe life we are leading. I hope my girls will have happy times reading their books one day.

My mother passed away last year, and when going through the photos there were so many that we didn't know who they were. And the ones we knew who they were, we didn't know the significance behind the picture or what was going on at that time.
It is nice to know that by scrapbooking my children's children's children will know who the pictures are of...what the significance is behind the picture and what was going on at that time. I think that is just so cool!!!!
Thanks for this wonderful opportunity Ali.

    Hi,
    Great kit..
I love being creative.. especially when I never considered myself creative. I love remembering details about my 2 year old daughter for the future.
    Thanks!

My favorite part? That it's a means for me to record the little day-to-day moments of my young son's life. Ten years from now, I won't care when he rolled over for the first time or how much he weighed at his first year appointment. I will care, though, to remember that he used to be obsessed with looking for airplanes in the sky, that he used to grab the bag of goldfish crackers and go hide to eat them, and that he had the craziest hair on a baby I've ever seen. Those are the things I don't want to forget.

My favorite part is the picture-taking itself... Learning to pay attention to the little "stories" unfolding right in front of me in my everyday life with a husband, toddler, and persnickity feline. Thanks for all the inspiration you continually send my way!

My favorite thing right now about memory keeping is all the choices! So many different things to use and create with. I think those choices let you put yourself into the memory and share a little about who you are. I mean what would we do without all these great products out there? HA!

Myfavorite part right now is the fact that there are so many different ways to preserve and document the memories. Anywhere from the actual layouts to blogging, and I am enjoying all of it! I love that my girls are old enough to appreciate what I have been doing and they are now doing some themselves and loving it too. It has been very much a bonding experience for all of us. Thank you for always being an inspiration, Ali.

For me the coolest thing about memory keeping is that I am keeping a record of those everyday things that make up our life. With four girls, there are a lot of things I want to remember. Memory keeping helps me do this, and I get to be creative at the same time.

My favorite thing is creating a lasting record of my thoughts and passions now (at 19) rather than in retrospect. I think my memory keeping is more genuine if done "in the moment" -- it might be too easy to go back and sugar-coat this time in my life. By capturing my values and experiences now, I am creating a record not only for myself but for others, perhaps in the future.

    Hi Ali,
I have to say that my favorite thing to do lately is journaling the little every day details of my life. Sometimes the journaling is just bullet points of errands to run or little funny things my 6 and 10 year old do or say. I'm also enjoying journaling about how my life at their current ages is/was similar or different from theirs (as well as my mom and dad's or other generations). It has really been a fun process! Next we are going to answer the prompt, "What Olympics holds the greatest memory for you & why?" Or "Who is/was your favorite Olympic athlete and why?" I'm sure to get a lot of fun things to journal from that one!!
    Suz :)

My favorite part of memory keeping are the photos and the journaling as I am finding that I'm already forgetting some of the details that made that moment so memorable. As my almost 6 year old goddaughter would say, "Auntie Jean, you're old"... and I'm only in my early 30s. :P

I love the way that each story can be preserved- my kids have a detailed history of their lives. With or without pictures... I have been doing alot of LOs that are all journaling. I love the feeling of satisfaction when I have written down a poignant memory & scrapped it!!

I look at all my scrapbooks and think, I am leaving a legacy for my son. My mom died when I was 14 and I have so little of my childhood. I want my son to remember what we did, what we love and what makes him so unique. Scrapbooking is my creative outlet, it is my happy activity that I love and no one can take away.

reading my journals and remembering those days past - what was said, what i felt, what we were wearing, where we were at. i love rereading through them more than looking through the pictures.

Lately, my favorite thing is making a mess!
There is something about both scrapbooking and summer that I find very freeing. I am the kind of person who needs to spread out to feel creative, and last week I was actually working on layouts in the middle of the hallway, as my sea of paper and photos came cascading out of the office behind me! It's great fun and makes me want a drippy popsicle.
