Three Things : Three Giveaways

Giveaways

A fun Tuesday giveaway:

1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.

2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).

3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).

To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

We really don't celebrate 'fall' like you American's, but the thing I love best is being able to watch the leaves change colour. I never tire of seeing so many different colours of leaves falling to the ground. I also love running through the leaves and picking them up and throwing them over myself or taking photos of my son doing the same thing. We go on an excursion (field trip) at the school I teach at and I often come back to school with way to many photos of the kids throwing the leaves over each other. It is one of my highlights throughout the whole year. But right now I am loving the warm weather here in Australia and gearing up for the wonderful hot summer:)

I put out all my Halloween and fall decorations around the home, make more hearty soups, get out the warm sweaters and fleece vests, plus I love to sleep with my window open for the fresh crisp air.

We've hosted a Halloween party for the past 7 years. My favorite part is how much all our friend's kids look forward to coming every year!

We celebrate fall with pumpkins on the porch, pumpkins (paper and fabric and wood) in the house, baking apple pies and pumpkin bread and enjoying the cooling off of the weather...and watching my daughter play soccer (it's the last fall for that - she's a senior in college this year!)

Fall is my absolute favorite time of year. We always go to the Pumpkin Patch and pick from the crop - white and orange pumpkins both. Then we get treats and a hayride while there. We leave our pumpkins out on the front steps until about a week before Halloween when we carve them and put a light inside and back on the steps. Love to rake up a big pile of leaves and all jump into them and smell that heavenly smell of autumn upon us. Lot of pictures of all this of course for the albums!!! And of course a stop at Starbucks for a YUMMY venti-nonfat-Chai-latte!

I spend more time baking in the fall than any other time of year. I think its because the house is warmer and cozier and we have yummy things to eat!

Fall is always pumpkin from the patch and the store, and all things made with them! Seeds, butter, pie, soup, etc. Fall is also raking for my granny with my kids, having family gatherings to bake for Halloween, church, Thanksgiving and friends and family and is always football. Go Broncos!

We start off my bringing out our decorations and plan new fall & halloween crafts to make. Which my DS and i love to do!
We can't wait for cooler weather in Florida, cause as soon as it hits we are sitting around the bon fire! We have them all weekend long, every weekend! We love just spending time together outside.
We also love going to the pumpkin patch and seeing who can decorate our finds the goofiest!
Fall also means biketoberfest, which we try and go to every year, this year we got to go and enjoy a day of riding (& the weather was fall like!) and being together just me and him...love our date days/nights!

in my home, fall signifies the end of racing season which in turn, equals having some free time again on the weekends!!! :) a chance to head to the local bookstore to check out the magazine selection, scrapbook a page or two, or pick-up the novel i've been putting off for the past month or so.
it's all about taking a breather.

We celebrate fall in many ways - we celebrate the start of school w/ lots of first day pics, deciding on and makig costumes, making halloween crafts and thanksgiving crafts, playing soccer, and enjoying cooler days.

Fall for my family is about the simple pleasures; jumping in freshly raked leaves, homemade soup after hikes in the woods, and canning the summer harvest.
