Three Things : Three Giveaways

Giveaways

A fun Tuesday giveaway:

1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.

2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).

3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).

To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

I make something pumpkin-y. This year, on Sunday, I made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. They are splendid.

Going to the Pumpkin Patch with my s and husband and hosting all the family dinners. I cook and my husband cleans while I chat with family! It is wonderful! It is the only time of year that I see my extended family. I cook enough for 100 and we only serve about 20!

hi Ali! We celebrate Autumn-as we call it here in Australia, by enjoying the crisp air at our local parks and having a good romp and play in the atumn leaves, lots of crunching, collecting some leaves for a crayon rubbing or leaf collage and a few photos of the fun as well. Right now it is Spring and we are heading on our annual beach holiday in 2 days time! Yipppeeeee!

How awesome is this! To celebrate fall, we take photos, do a "fall cleanup" and enjoy walks down trails!

Once we have a few cool fall days I get out the comfort food recipes: chili, stew, soup, yum-yum-yum!

Here on the Gulf Coast in Texas, 'fall' means lower temps- all the way down to 85-wow! It actually cools off at night a little. We play up the Halloween stuff with decorations and pumpkins, and we celebrate by eating the hurricane supply of canned food, since the season is almost over!

I make pumpkin bread and hot apple cider, pull out my many cozy scarves, and stand on the front porch taking deep breaths of cooler night air and gazing at the stars.
This is one of my very favourite times of year. :)

Fall is my very favourite season because not only does it involve Halloween(treats, decorating, parties, costumes) but 2 days later is my son's birthday...so basically fall is one great excuse to throw parties.

I get mixed up on time zones so I hope I'm in time...lol! We celebrate fall by putting out all our fall decor, taking walks on our property and having stews and soup for dinner. Thanks for the opportunity to receive a prize!

We love to play in the leaves and build a scarecrow with a pumpkin head, of course, and take pictures of all the fun! Super great family time! The amazing colors of fall create such a phenomenal background - you can't help but just delight in the season...and the gift of each other!

How we celebrate fall: autumn decoration around the house, Halloween decoration on the outside of the house, Fall Festival at school, buying my newborn her first costume for Halloween, spending time with my family, smelling the crisp cool fall air, cuddling with my husband in front of the fireplace, spice candles, making plans and creating the menu for Thanksgiving, craving pumpkins with my Kindergarteners and taking pictures of fall leaves. But most of all, exploring fall for the first time with my 9-week-old daughter. Just a few things I love about fall.

We just finished our annual Fall Break weekend in the NC mountains. The beauty is is that there is no TV, phones, radios, computers, etc and we all look forward to this amazing time (even our 8 yr. old). Lots of hikes, reading, laughing, and picture taking. I started organizing today for the album :-) Great memories!!

We live in the beautiful mountains of WNC. We especially like being outside in the Fall weather. We enjoy bonfires (with hot apple cider) up in the pasture, our tradition of traveling to Barber's Orchard for apple slushies, apple cake and loads of APPLES, Friday night football games, and nearby festivals (Mountain Heritage Festival @ Western Carolina Univ, apple festival in Hendersonville and October festival @ John C. Campbell Folkschool in Brasstown). I traveled "down East" the first week of October and when driving back home I was just amazed at the change in colors of the leaves in just one week. The patchwork of colors was breathtaking and they've gotten more beautiful since then.

We are a huge football family (my husband is a head varsity football coach). So, we kick off *grin* Fall with:
-a party for his coaching staff and their family
-one last 'family night' for us (we don't have much family time during 'the season')
And then there are all sorts of little things that the kids and I do, like a visit to the pumpkin patch, a annual hayride @ one of my best friend's house and a weiner and marshmellow roast @ my very BFF's house.

I celebrate autumn by being able to venture outdoors once again (I live in South Texas, where summers keep me indoors.) I get up early just to walk and enjoy the cooler air, crunch the acorns under my feet and save the prettiest ones to take home, and plant my winter garden with pansies and petunias. I love autumn!

I love fall and all that goes with it - having lots of bonfires, playing in the leaves, baking tons of apple crisp and pumkiny stuff. However, your comment theme has me thinking about starting some specific fall traditions. Thanks for the inspiration!
