Three Things : Three Giveaways

Giveaways

A fun Tuesday giveaway:

1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.

2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).

3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).

To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

Living in Alabama where the heat and humidity are a challenge during the summer, we are energized by autumn: enjoy cool, crisp mornings; make pots of hardy soup; sit on the patio in the afternoon and soak up the sun; make plans for the soon-to-come holidays; "winterize" the gardens; savor a cup of great coffee; do "fall cleaning" of my clothes and crafts' closets; and just take time to enjoy the incredible changing of the seasons.

We are just starting to build fall traditions around here. We took our not yet walker apple picking, and hope to go pumpkin picking soon.
With our new home, we've celebrated the fall by raking leaves and decorating our home for the season.
And there's always the joy of COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!

Closet reorganization, chili, spending time outside (finally, now that the temps are below 100 degrees) and this year will start our yearly tradition of the local pumpkin patch.

The kids and I just have fun getting out our winter clothes and doing an impromptu fashion show with our "new" clothes.

This is my son's first fall. I'm looking forward to starting new traditions with him and carrying on the ones my parents started with me. We go hiking and take in the beautiful fall colors and then cook out over a fire.

Living in Florida we don't get much of a "fall" season ... we hope and pray for cooler weather but are grateful for a simple drop in humidity!!! Decorations help with the celebration, but even picking pumpkins have to wait until the last minute or they rot before halloween!! I guess the biggest thing is that we simply become grateful for what we do have - each other!!

We take our big family photo outside in the fall every year. I love all those vivid colors. We pick out pumpkins, go to the orchard and make apple cider, bundle up and drink lots of hot cocoa. Its a great time to do things together.

We just recently moved out to the country and we will be hosting a bonfire for all of our friends. We are going to have a hayride around our 3+ acres and serve chili from a hollowed out pumpkin.

my celebration of fall is taking long walks and enjoying the different smells in the air, crunchy leaves underfoot, the sound of my son giggling as he hides in leaf piles in the backyard, and enjoying the tastes and textures of "fall food"

This time of year is one of my favorites. We have Thanksgiving in early October and then we decorate with pumpkins and squashes. I try and do lots of fall/autumn crafts with the children I work with. We just had a big harvest party as well with staff and ate lots of harvesty type food (squash pasts and beet/apple salad) and carved pumpkins. Perfect fall party!

I celebrate fall by cozy sweaters, soft blankets and a good book and cider with the scent of my favorite fall candles burning in the background - pumpkin! Love it when the leaves begin to fall. Thanks for the giveaways!

Tucking in, spending more time at home, getting ready for winter. We already have snow, so getting bundled up for long walks outside play a big part of our day!

For Fall, I've begun to place anything cinnamon around the house and often find myself opening up the windows even though I have to wear a heavy sweatshirt and pants in order to not get too cold. I just can't miss out on the smells of leaves, wind blowing through the house, and a wintry anticipation of the holidays to come! And it may help our utility bills as well since I can't stand to turn on the heat too early. :)

Fall is our favorite time - cooler temps, the death of ragweed, and lots of pumpkins. Our newest tradition is to grow our own pumpkins! An old favorite is to make scarecrows for the front yard. Not so scary, but very fun!

Fall is my absolute favorite season -- we take a drive in the mountains to see the leaves changing, we decorate the house with Halloween houses, trees, bats, etc., and we head to the pumpkin patch for pumpkin picking and picture taking...
