Three Things : Three Giveaways

Giveaways

A fun Tuesday giveaway:

1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.

2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).

3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).

To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

We always look forward to pulling out the fall and halloween decorations. My daughter, 9 still loves to look at the collection of small Halloween toys we have. And this year I made a standing display from 4 matte boards, tied together and used photos of the kids from Halloween's past. The other side has fall photos. We always carve our pumpkin on the night before Halloween. (Having always lived in Louisiana previously. we had to wait because if you did it too early it would rot.)
Now that we live in the Midwest, we are trying to make new traditions that include the changing of the leaves. One thing we are going to do this weekend is a have a fall photo shoot with a professional photographer. Maybe we should add taking a family photo in the fall our new tradition!
Definitely thinking about foods to warm our hearts as the cold weather comes!

I am an Australian who has lived for a short time in the US. So it is Spring here now. But we still celebrate our own little Thanksgiving, mostly to remember out friends in the US and the wonderful time we had there.

I can't get enough of pumpkins. I love scented candles, pumpkin patches and pumpkin baked good. I live all year for pumpkin pancakes.

For us here in Michigan, it's all about hayrides to get apples and pumpkins, enjoying cider and donuts, baking apple pies, taking drives and hiking to see all the beautiful fall colors, playing lots of flag football, and getting ready for a fun Halloween! Thanks for the exciting giveaways, Ali!

Living in Canada, we just try to get out s a family and enjoy the fall weather before the snow flies. Photo opportunities, raking leaves, and decorating for the season. All ways in which we celebrate.

Always apple picking, pumpkin picking, carving pumpkins with dad (as a professional chef, his knives are great for this)! And of course, making pumpkin pie, hot chocolate and nice big pots of chili! YUM!

I love fall. These cool, beautiful days are the best of the year, even if the rains will be here any day now. I think homemade apple pie is the best way to celebrate. That and a nicely scented candle burning. Makes the house feel cozy!

We love to decorate the house with pumpkins as soon as it turns cool and then closer to Halloween we carve the pumpkins into Jack-o-laterns. We love to bake apple pies and pumpkin bread. Taking haying and running through corn mazes and we can never turn down a trip to the apple orchard for an apple turnover or a carmel apple, yum! The kids of course look forward to dressing up in costumes for Halloween and walking through the neighborhood with their friends.

    Warm apple cider...mmmmm...
And my birthday is right at the beginning of fall!
Oh! And I love sweater weather. When it's not cold enough for a coat, but a nice sweater or jacket is perfect!

Well, we live in a really warm climate so Fall isn't like the beautiful falls we see on TV or in pictures. We kind of have Summer and Winter..the end!
But, we love to bake and and carve pumpkins and really try to make our own Fall where we are.

our fall season (autumn) is in April/May/June here and we have very mild weather changes so we really have no celebration as such, just relief from the heat, that is celebration enough

^^ I love fall! I try to celebrate by bringing as much color and nature inside as I can, and we always decorate pumpkins, and my favorite part? My mom's pumpkin bread!

I love the idea of fall - changing colors, cooler weather, great food, crafts and holidays. Living in Texas makes it a bit challenging when its still in the 80s and 90s - all the more reason to really appreciate/celebrate those "cool fronts" (our version of Fall/Winter...)

I love fall and Halloween. Our house has been decorated since the last week of September and I will be sad to put things away. Also, we eat massive amounts of candy corn, especially the chocolate caramel kind.

Hi Ali! We celebrate Fall by taking a drive to Apple Hill in Camino CA. We pick out our pumpkins, and buy fresh apples and delicious cider. We usually visit at least one corn maze during the Fall;we go at night so that we can get completely lost!!!! In mid-November we usually head to the coast for my husband's birthday. And of course, the best thing that I do for the Thanksgiving season is bake pumpkin and apple pies!!!! Thanks for always thinking of us.

In years past, the boys and I have gone to the local pumpkin patch. It makes for a great photo op, and my boys look good in orange :)

Fall- my fave time of the year. We just came back from Victoria Island, BC last night! Had a grand time exploring the Butchart Gardens, saw all the crispy fallish color foliage. So beautiful! I thank GOD for all these wonderful creations he GAVE us. So grateful and blessed!
Another "must do" for us is the annual Halloween Potluck party we host. Kids dress up and adults, too! I'll be in my 70's babe costume.

I live in a tropical place. It's my first fall here and I am missing the college football, state fair, leaves changing and crisp mornings.
I did get a promise of pecans in the mail soon, so at least there will be hope of a pecan pie to celebrate Thanksgiving!!

Polish the toes or not???? That's the big question that comes up every Fall that makes me really know it's Fall. Here in Southern California Fall is not as prominent as in other parts of the country. I wish I had boots to prep, leaves to crunch, sweaters to buy, or even trees to watch turn colors. Instead, I watch the weather creep under 80 during the day (if I'm lucky) and wonder if it's too warm for me to put on socks and shoes. I love that my girlfriend has special fall mugs she gets out every fall. She and I mark the occasion every year with a big pot of java and a fresh bottle of foo foo creamer (flavored creamer for the uninformed). We anxiously await to see if Coffeemate will bless us with a new seasonal flavor. The other Fall tradition is to grab my "Fall" scrapbook box with all of the pre-planned fall pages that I can never seem to finish. Fall pages are my nemisis. Not sure why. Maybe I just take too many pictures. Fall is my favorite season and I love to decorate my home and yard with Fall stuff. Get crazy and take pics of your Fall decor and put it on your blog or scrap it. I will be posting my fall pics on my blog tonight.
    Happy Fall!!!
