Three Things : Three Giveaways

Giveaways

A fun Tuesday giveaway:

1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.

2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).

3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).

To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

My favorite fall tradition is to go see my parents and while there, take a trip to Huber's Orchard in Starlight, Indiana. It is a beautiful fully working farm. We always buy fresh produce and return home to can and prepare food for the freezer. This year I had the privilege of learning how to make Blackberry-Blueberry Jam. And today I made a pumpkin pie with fresh pumpkin from Hubers...
This is the 4th year to do this and I'm looking forward to when my 7 month old is old enough to enjoy the orchard and learning things from her Gammie too!

I celebrate fall by finding a hobby that warms my soul. I get more into my scrapbooks, press leaves, make homemade muffins. I tend to be more introspective during the fall and journal quite a bit more. And I enjoy the occasional cup of hot chocolate (never skimping on the marshmallows!).

Fall, or Autumn as we call it here in Australia is in March/April and May. We love it because it gets cooler - we get hot summers here in SE QLD - and it's a great time to BBQ, have picnics and celebrate my DS & DH's birthdays.

My favorite thing to do to bring in the fall is...pack up summer clothes and swimsuits and bring out the sweaters! It's a great chance to do a little "fall" cleaning and organizing!
Not to mention Starbucks brings back that heavenly Pumpkin Spice Latte! Yum! :)

I love fall! We go to our favorite cider mill for cider and a ride on the hayride. We also put up our scarecrows. We love playing in the leaves and going for walks in the leaves. It is such a perfect time of year. I love the last visit to the farmers market, this week (until Thanksgiving), picking up apples and some flowers. Fun!!

Yummy soups, cuddling up in front of a movie, spending time together.
October and November are also big birthday months for us, so we spend a lot of time having fun family activities to celebrate our special days.

"fall" for us in the southern hemisphere is around easter time. The weather gets cooler and the sun isn't so blazingly hot so we can spend more time outside going on picnics and bushwalks. We can spend the whole morning at the beach without getting sunburnt and that is something to celebrate!

We take a long drive through the mountains to view the fall colors in our snuggly sweaters and cook up some chili or stew for supper when we return home.

I love fall! We celebrate the changing season by admiring the beauty of the trees changing on the mountains around us. I've also celebrated the last two fall seasons by running in the Denver Marathon/Half-Marathon. There isn't a better way to appreciate the beautiful tree-lined street and parks of the city. Thanks for the chance to win!

We try to visit apple hill near Placerville, CA and arrive at an apple orchard where we use these cute long handle with a basket to retrieve our apples. While there we take pictures of the glorious fall trees and picnic at one of the stands. Wonderful!! I love fall.

We celebrate a lot of birthdays in the Fall, including mine and my husbands'... we also have started a tradition in our family (we have 2 kids under 3) by going to the Pumpkin Patch and picking pumpkins. And, I love the anticipation of the coming holidays (Thanksgiving/Christmas)!

Fall is the most exciting time for me as my eyes are sensitive to the sun in the summer, especially in the Texas heat. While the cool winds leads to colder days it makes me happy. It's a time to be able to take good pictures without so much light. When the fall comes around I'm in love with the colors outside, the joy of knowing the times for family gatherings are getting near. & don't for get the Baking! I like to be able to read a book outside on my patio without worrying so much of the sun & heat, letting the cool air touch my face. I love the Fall!

Our fall tradition is to go to a pumpkin patch with the whole family (my family and my husband) The kids love to play with their cousins. We also go to the park and hike a lot, almost every weekend. I love fall. October is my favorite month.

We don't really celebrate Fall in New Zealand and it's Spring here at the moment. This weekend is Labour weekend, so Monday is a National holiday. Labour Weekend means going to stay with my parents at the beach and having our first swim in the ocean. My kids and I can't wait!

I like to enjoy that cold nip in the air when the sun is out bright. I love going to Pike Place Market in the fall to see the last bit of colorful flowers out. I adore snuggling under a warm blanket at home.

Fall is probably the most hectic month for us. With the weather cooling off,we get ready for the cold season, shopping for warm clothes...usually the kids have out grown most of the clothes, pumpkin patches, getting ready for halloween, decorating and lastly Trick or treating with the kids. And I always dress up for my kids, they love it.

How about eating breakfast in the dark...my son loves to be outside, and he doesn't care that it is dark. He loves the cool mornings, and breakfast on our porch. He has Autism, and finishes up his morning routine with a 15 min. jump on the trampoline before the bus arrives to take him to school.
