My favorite childhood summertime memories come from my family vacations in August. We had 2 weeks for fun. We usually went to a state park in Idaho...we swam in the river, rode bikes, ate tons of ice cream and drove around enjoying the scenery and sun. Even though the park wasn't exciting in itself--the time spent with my parents was extremely special--especially since they worked so hard throughout the rest of the year saving up their vacation time (and what money they could) all for these 2 weeks. It was fantastic to have that time with them.

My favorite memory would be how we went playing in the water puddles after an afternoon thunderstorm. The air was clear and the water so warm. Good times!

One of my favorites is playing in the backyard of my Grandma's house just at dusk as the fireflies were out. Magical.

I loved the week spent in Muskoka at whatever cottage my dad had rented. Laying out with a book in the shade or in a hammock, and starting each morning by jumping into the lake. Those were my most carefree and memorable summer times.

Making "tons of money!" selling lemonade to the construction workers building a few houses on my street. It was my first business endeavor and I was so proud when one nice man even gave me $10 for an entire pitcher! I was hooked :-) In fact, I made a yummy pitcher of that same lemonade today, 23 years later!

    Hi Ali,
One fall I flew a kite with my grandpa and then went home to watch "The Wizard of Oz." Whenever I think of the movie, I remember flying the kite with my grandpa.
    Thanks!

My favorite childhood summer memory is just playing outside with my brother, sisters and cousins at my granny's until after dark.

AHHHH Summer! My favorite memory is going on bike rides late at night. The temperature was great and we'd usually stop for an ice cream at the drive thru on our bikes (I don't think they'd let you do that now!)

My favorite childhood memory is spending every Wednesday in the summer at my grandparents farm....playing in the woods and helping take care of the animals....it was wonderful.

The four of us (me and my siblings) "swimming" in a small, plastic kiddie pool. :-)
