Favorite Christmas Tradition: Wow, we have several that we love:) I would have to say that my most favorite is making Gingerbread Men with my daughters. All the cookie baking is fun and Dad always pops in to snitch a taste or a cookie. Lots of flour flying around and of course, lots of giggles. I have one more week before my girls get home from college and then we will jump into this tradition of making cookies together.

I would have to say that ever since I was in high school (and I am now 45) I have loved thinking about creative and wonderful ways to wrap and tag my gifts. I love it and hope they love it, too.

Nice giveaways. My favorite Christmas tradition is going to the farm to cut down our tree. We make a day of it. It is really fun when we have a little snow to trudge through. This year we were in our tee shirts. Hope we are lucky again this year to have a spider or two in our tree...It's kind of another tradition...to look for evidence of "Our Christmas Spider"...the delicate webs glistening among the lights.

Decorating the Christmas tree, of course. :) Decorating the whole house, actually. We start today! Yay, can't wait!

My favorite Christmas tradition is decorating the Christmas tree. We have a lot of special ornaments that we have collected over the years. Once the last ornament is hung, we sit back with a cup of cocoa and remember the joy, excitement, and LOVE we've shared on Christmases past.

Pretty giveaways!
We have started a tradition of not cooking a meal on Christmas Eve (which is also my sister's birthday)
We just all pick our favorite foods and snacks and munch around the table all day. We invite old friends and family to stop by to say Happy Birthday and have a snack with us - it has been a lot of fun.
On Christmas Day, after the meal at my husband's family, we go play basketball at the church down the street. Great fun!

Going to our cousin's house every 25th and chat all day about everything. Then if its a no work day the next day we go bargain shopping on the 26th. I just love the frenzy of scouting for great deals after Christmas...woohooo!!

Oh, it has to be decorating the tree with my five kiddos while we listen to Christmas music playing in the background. They love to ask each other where they've placed their favorite ornaments on the tree-- like ornament Hide'n Go Seek. And then they all receive a new ornament for the year! Good times, good times.

Our favorite December tradition is going out here in the PNW, usually in the cold and wet weather, and cutting our own Christmas tree...coming home for a cup of hot cocoa and then sit and admire our efforts. (it always needs to drip-dry for at least a day before it comes into the house!)Great giveaways again..thanks so much for offering them to us.

My favorite tradition is making frosted sugar cookies. This started with my grandma and me every year for as long as I can remember and now continues with my daughters and me. That recipe takes me right back to being ten years old.

My favorite holiday tradition is English Crackers. My grandsons love to pop them open. They put on their paper hat that is inside and pose for the yearly photo. Such fun times :)

Our tradition...don't laugh... the Pig's Head gift every year. We have a white elephant gift exchange among the adults, and what was once part of a pig doll is now only the head. We've prettied him up a bit over the years; a little more color on his cheeks and some glasses, and it used to be that only the newbie in the family got it, but now it's whoever has the luck of the draw/select in our White Elephant. We all love it...and we're starting the next generation on it. Totally "be of good cheer" for the season!!!

One of the traditions I enjoy most is picking the perfect Christmas tree with my hubby and his best friend and setting up our own and just stare at it for the rest of the day. It just sets the Christmas in our home officially.

I really LOVE those canvases! They look beautiful and you chose great pictures :) I am late getting my December album underway (planned mine to begin on the day after Thanksgiving when we picked up our tree) but plan to get it rolling today. I think the letters in the envelope are a great idea and I am SO going to do that!
