My favorite tradition is our Christmas Eve one. I make a big meal of finger foods (pigs in a blanket, cut up veggies, crackers and cheese, cookies and other treats). I package us each up a lunchbox full of yummy things. Then we take the lunchboxes to the car and hit the road. We stop by a service station and get everyone a Coke. Then we head off to drive around and look at Christmas lights. It's fun driving and snacking together.

Started only when I was in mid-teenagehood, my sisters & i were given the daily taskof moving a beautiful paper mache Mary & Joseph (sans Jesus) from one corner of the house far away from the tree to their manger by Christmas morning. My mom, instead of spending Christmas eve wrapping, spent those precious morning hours setting up an elaborate manger scene for baby Jesus. We woke Christmas morning to find that Mary & Joseph had completed their journey...& had a baby!! It was a great way to "count down" to Christmas in a more meaningful way than paperchains or advent.

More great giveaways! Thank you Ali!!! My favorite December tradition is getting our Christmas tree. We go with my dad and sister and load both trees onto my husband's pickup and drop my parents tree off at their house and bring ours home. At both homes we are decorating the trees, calling each other as we put special ornaments up or to see who is further along than the other. This is such a fun tradition and I look forward to it every year.

My favorite tradition is making Christmas goodies: cookies, candies, and cakes we do not have any other time of the year. Many are family recipes handed down.

My favourite Christmas tradition is the making of the gifts. Even before we all had kids of our own, mom & dad would make our gifts for christmas, tons of great childhood memories. We lost that tradition for awhile, but as adults, we decided to bring it alive again. Now that we all have children of our own, the making of the gifts becomes that much more special again. Haven't quite figured out what me & my 4 yr old will make together this year, but last year we made some pretty awesome bottlecap magnets. They were a hit, and when my daughter sees these on peoples' fridges when we visit, you can see the pride bubble up in her. Merry Christmas.

My favorite tradition is the grocery shopping trip for our Christmas festivities. There are some foods that we only buy, or make, at Christmas time so it's pretty exciting for a grocery trip!

    Thanks for the great giveaway!
Every year we wander around a neighborhood looking at Christmas lights. Collectively, the family chooses a house, wanders up to the door and gives that family a little award for being our favorite decorated house!

My favorite Christmas tradition is on Christmas Eve. I make a big pot of seafood gumbo in the afternoon, and all of our friends and family that want, can stop by for a bowl and some fellowship. Sometimes it ends up just being my husband and I, other times we have a house full. Either way, it is nice.

I *love* Christmas time. This is my favorite time of year by far - especially now that my daughter is here. She's only a month old, but she'll grow up with all the traditions that my Mom & I have tried to keep going for years and years.
Picking out our tree is definitely one of my fav. Last year the guy strapped the big tree to the top of my Mom's small Mazda 3 and we had to drive with the windows down and our arms out the windows to keep it from blowing away!
This year I'm trying to take notes every day about our December, especially with it being Savannah's first, so I can journal/scrap it later.
Thanks for the chance to win!

My favorite is the night we put up on our tree! We each have certain ornaments we put up and each ornament tells a story in our lives. I could spend hours poring through them. They are one of my most prized possessions. I have ornaments from my whole life: baby, school, travels, getting married, first house, my children's, I LOVE ornaments!
