My favorite tradition is taking the family to something special such as a musical, a ballet. Today, my granddaughters and I will enjoy a Teddy Bear Tea and then go on a Santra Train ride. Both of these events raise money for a cause. Love that!

My favorite tradition is driving around with the kids looking at Christmas lights. I love to hear the excitement in their voices at every house. Look at those lights...They are really ready for Christmas... Look, baby Jesus.... Love it!!!

Our favourite Christmas tradition is Christmas Eve at my dad's place. We rent out the local arena for a friendly family hockey game, then head to my dad's home for a big traditional Italian Christmas dinner in the late afternoon, then open gifts and play games/cards until the wee hours!

Christmas English "crackers" are my favorite tradition. My twin sister and I always have our families together when we have them. Our husbands never complain and humor us wearing the tissue hats. They even let us tell the bad jokes. ;)

My favorite Christmas Tradition will be one we begin this year... trekking out into the woods to cut down our Christmas tree! My favorite childhood memories are of my family doing it, it is important to me to begin this with my family now.

So hard to pick, but I'd probably say our advent calendar. I love watching my son every morning and his excitement for his "surprise".

Oh my, just one tradition? I guess my favorite is Christmas Eve, which is actually many traditions bundled into one evening, but it is the epitome of the holidays for me, even more than Christmas morning. Thanks for the giveaway!

My favorite is Christmas Eve service and the candlelight singing of Silent Night. The world seems at peace for those few minutes and I find joy in the Reason for the season.

This one isn't really about the holidays but it's a tradition we have kept up since the kids started school. Once they are on their holiday vacation from school and before Christmas, we all go out for lunch and a movie together. It's actually some peaceful together time as a family while in the midst of what is a very busy time.

Watching our favorite Christmas movies together and eating Christmas cookies hot out of the oven. Mmmm, I think that it is time to watch Muppet's Christmas Carol.

The kids make an ornament each day from December 1 through 24. None are too difficult, but they are perfect for two K kiddos [kindergarten and 2nd grade]. I actually was not going to do the ornaments this year, but both asked about it when we started digging out Christmas decorations.
This year when we unpacked ornaments, we reminisced over their ornament creations. So much fun.

Today we are going to 2 local Christmas parades. It's a tradition we have been doing since my son was born. We have been in the rain/snow, COLD and sometimes it has been rather pleasant. Today it is cloudy and cold.

I think my favorite December tradition is the tamale feed we have every Christmas Eve. It started out as just our family, but over the years we have added an assortment of people and families with no relatives in town--my friend from England, a friend with a pilot husband who is often gone, a single mother with no family anywhere.... We get together and celebrate the night with a lot of love and happiness. (We have unknowingly shared things like chicken pox and the stomach flu too!) The kids are worn out and ready for bed right after, and we all feel like we had that closeness that the season is supposed to bring. Love the giveaways! Thank you!
