My favoirte memory is when my mother and my best friend's mother and me and my best friend would go shopping for school clothes. We were always allowed to spend $100.00 which seemed like a huge amount at the time and we would come home with boxes (this was when stores would pack things up in dress boxes!) and bags of clothes. Still love back to school shopping. Sadly, $100.00 doesn't buy much now!

I love my first grade teacher! She remained my favorite throughout all my school years! I also loved it when my third grade teacher would read to us in class the Little House on the Party books and even bought every child one of the books for Christmas!

Oh how I loved fresh school supplies - new pens, pencils, crayons, markers, and new backpack and lunch kit. I still love the thrill of finding all these items for my girls now that it's their turn, and seeing how happy they are with their new items. I also loved all the creative writing as I got into the upper grades :).

I loved getting new supplies every year. I loved the anticipation if seeing friends whom I hadn't seen over the summer. I always did well in classes, too, so I loved the positive reinforcement and support I got from my teachers.

I loved that the elementary school I went to for 4th to 6th grade was close enough to walk to, and that it was in the woods. We were in our own little world there.

I loved just about everything except gym and music! I especially loved teachers who assigned projects that invited creativity. I recall making a pop-up book about the ATP cycle in high school biology...
