December Daily 2010 | Are Your Foundation Pages On Your Blog?

Have you posted your December Daily foundation to your blog?

Part of the fun of this project is sharing your process, experience, stories, photos and pages. In addition to the 2010 Flickr group I wanted to invite you to share your blog as a way to spread the inspiration and motivation.

I'll create another one of these starting in December for anyone who's sharing their daily pages on their blog.

Please share a link to your specific December Daily foundation post below using the Widget below. It invites you to leave a comment after including you link but don't feel like you need to do that too. Happy surfing!

I have just come to your site via somebody elses, and read back through your post for the DD in 2008. The story you linked to about the lady with the charity envelopes has made me cry. What a fabulous idea and inspiring story. I will be following you on this blog this year, looking forward to it. Thanks.

I'm so excited to be joining in on this year's December Daily. It will be my first time and I can't wait to get started. While most people will be waiting until December 1 to start, I'm starting the day after Thanksgiving. So I've got just a little over a week to get my scrapbook room in order to be able to craft a little every evening.
Thanks Ali for this wonderful concept and including all of us. Everyone has been so inspirational. I say that every time, but I truly mean it.
    Merry Christmas everyone!

I love this idea! I'm doing my first one in a very, very simple format. If I actually finish the project, I hope to expand it next year.

Hurray! I have my stuff gathered and looking forward to the weekend to cut and punch!!!!! I just loved last years book and hope to post it to my blog by the first of Dec. since I didn't get that done last year. I also incorporate "Journal Your Christmas" class by Shimelle at shimelle.com. The two complement each other so well and so much fun to share with women all over the world. It isn't too soon to say "Merry Christmas!" is it?

Soooooo super excited for December Daily and the month of December in general, especially as my family and I are traveling to Disney on the week of the 17th! I just wanted to share a little tip that I'm going to try this year and I think it will be a big help when December rolls around and it's time to document. I bought a little 6x8 spiral notebook from Wal-Mart (nothing fancy). At the top of the first page I wrote December One, on the next page I wrote December Two, etc. starting on the front of each new page. Under the date, I wrote THE STORY and skipped about 12 lines and then wrote THE PHOTO and left the remaining 4 lines blank. I did this for each page up until the 25th, when I will stop my December Daily. I plan to use this notebook to jot down what I want to tell in my story each day, and what photo I want to use. Then, when the holidays slow down in January I can just look back at my notebook and remember what photo/story I want to tell on my album pages each day. Leaving the back of each page blank gives me extra room for notes, etc. as I'm documenting. I think this will be a quick, easy way to jot down things throughout the day and remember them for when I go to write/type my story for each day and adhere/print my photos to my pages. I hope this helps you guys! :) Happy December Daily!

Thank you so much for posting this. I wasn't really thinking about getting it started before the month began, but this motivated me. I'll be thanking myself (and you!) later. :) Thanks for always being such a great inspiration.

Ali, I have a question for you.

In 2008 I made a December Daily. The book is beautiful. And unfinished. In 2009 I made an even nicer one. Still unfinished.

I want to do it again this year but I think I've figured out my issue. I put so much time, energy and work into making the album pages in November that come December I'm bored of it.

I am thinking of going almost completely digital with it this year. Doing a page early in the morning with pics from the day before, using a template and doing my journalling right on the page. And then sending it all off to be printed in early December from an online service (Scrapbook pictures or something like that). Then when I get all the pages back I could add a paper embellishment or two and slip the pages into an album and call it done.

I'd love your thoughts on this....

I'd say go for it Heather! Keep it as simple as possible this year and then re-evaluate for next year. You definitely know something was not working in how you were approaching it the last two times (not a bad thing at all...we all get to choose how and what works best for us). I would totally encourage you to embrace that approach for this year - you can always make adjustments as you go and adapt to how you are feeling throughout the month.

Thanks, Ali. I think this is exactly what I'm going to do!!

Oh, and by early December I meant early January. LOL
