Whether you've dabbled in running before or completely new to exercise, we'll not only help you start running safely, we'll get your mind in the right place too.

"Up & Running really has been the best thing I have done for myself in years, and not just for the running. My confidence and happiness in my own skin has increased so much and I love what my body can DO, rather than obsessing about what it looks like."

I think one of the greatest life lessons my mom taught me was patience with boys. I've always heard stories of my brother and the things she did with him to channel his energy. Now that I have three boys of my own, she's helped me to see when things aren't such a big deal or how to handle their seemingly endless energy (especially my oldest). I love to watch her with them because, in doing so, I learn so much about how to forget my expectations and just focus on them.

My mum always told me to be content with what you have, a very wise thought that i have tried to internalize.

My favorite life lesson is that sometimes you just need to throw mashed potatoes in someone's face. Really literally my mom started a food fight during a rough time in my childhood and the whole family remembers it as the shining moment of laughter in that time.

My Mom taught me not to take life too seriously. She could always see the humor in tough situations. I really struggled with this when my kids were babies and toddlers. I am so thankful for my Mom for teaching me to laugh when you are covering in baby vomit! I miss her so much.

When one of us would reply, 'but everyone is doing it' my mom would let us know that she was 'not everyone's mom, I am your mom and you are not doing it.' I use it with my boys often.

Thank you for the chance to win. Happy Mother's Day!

My mom taught me to love the Lord with all my heart. It is the best lesson we can teach our kids. In all the up and down of life, having this constant to hold on to, and knowing He holds on to me, gives me perfect peace. Through this also I have learned to treasure all the little blessings and experiences of life every day. Scrapbooking our family life is the most rewarding and fun way to share my view of life with others.
I so appreciate the everyday special things you also celebrate on this blog. All the seemingly little things are what come together and make a home. The big things and vacations are great, but it is in the daily life our family's know they are loved and valued. I hope that is what my kids will remember their mom taught them.
Keep up the great work Ali.

My mom taught me about true friendship that I often refer back to over and over again. She taught me that it isn't about the number of friends one has, but the quality of the friendship and that if I have 3-4 truly amazing friends I have it made in gold. One can have other good friends, but it might not be as strong and that is fine, too. People come and go in our lives for a reason. Embrace both kinds of friendship for they both have value.

My mom has taught me so much, including that getting an education is SO important... no one can take it away from you. For Mother's Day, I made my mom a book of photos and things I've learned from her over the years (shhh, don't tell her!) Happy National Scrapbook Day, and Happy Mother's Day tomorrow!

my mom taught me many wonderful things about life & love, but my favorite piece of advice that stays with me each day is that it's a lot easier to clean up as you go when you're cooking & baking...it makes being in the kitchen a lot more fun for me :)

My mom taught me so much, and I miss her dearly. The one that is sticking in my head lately is "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." :)

My mom supported me in everything I did. She came to the games I cheered for. She listened to me sing...all the time, and was in the front row of every concert. She knew whatI would be when I grew up, but kept it to herself so i could figure it out on my own. I'm thankful for a mom who wasand is there cheering me on in life. Thanks for the chance to win some great giveaways, Ali.

My mother taught me that everyone was the same - no matter how much money they have, what they wore to school, or did for a living. It's what is inside that counts. Happy Mother's Day!

One of my mom's constant refrains is "It's all just a minute." Often referring to this time when one's children are little, she also applies it to things she doesn't want to do as well as, now that she is older, life in general.

in troubled or stressful times (which I have had my share parenting 2 daughters!), always remember this mantra. "This too shall pass." It's amazing how relieving this can be during a crisis.

My mother taught me how important it is to take on challenging new experiences. "It'll be a character building experience," was one of her favorite lines. Thanks for a chance to win one of these fabulous experiences.
