This week we are taking a peek at a couple Valentine/Love related products. Look for another round of three next week - there are just too many cool things out there for creating projects that celebrate those you love.

• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.

• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.

I want to bake with my kids this year. They just love doing that and making some heart shaped treats for others will be fun!

We don't really have any traditions sorry tosay but I'll share what my mother did. SHe made sugar cookies in heart shapes, frosted in many different ways and would put my classmates name on them for the class halloween party. She even sent some to me my freshman year in college. I wonder if I didn't keep up this tradition since I had rough and tumble boys and they thought this was just too girly. Thnaks

It seems like it comes so soon after Christmas, but I do like to give my kids little pink-hearty-frilly things to celebrate Valentine's Day. And we always gorge ourselves on the candy hearts...gotta love those!

I wish we had some Valentine's Day traditions! Maybe it's not too late to start. My husband never believed in Valentine's Day other than it being a "Hallmark" holiday. But, he surprised me 2 years ago and brought home a single red rose in a pretty vase after our daughter made a comment that Mom deserved something special for Valentine's Day. Maybe she'll say something again this year.... By the way... I LOVE Valentine's Day because I LOVE hearts!!

I'm not sure if we're doing something special this year. I have a 4 day weekend but my husband doesn't - so I am working on the mroning of the 14th and the church is having a welcome luncheon for our new minister on the 15th. Hopefully we'll find time sometime during the weekend to go out to dinner.

I usually hide out at Valentines Day...being single (and not really wanting to be) it's not a really happy time to be out and about with all the reminders that it is one area of my life that I'm not happy with (despite my better efforts). Oh well...I will usually spend it with Ben & Jerry! Sher

The color red and hearts are two of my favorite things. As long as I can remember, I've always made homemade cards and sent them to the children in my family. Now that I have my own children, I look forward to doing this with them when they are old enough!

I always make heart shaped sugar cookies and have a little goody bag for the kids. They hand make their valentines each year using scraps and goodies I've collected over the years. It's a lot of fun to see what they've come up with each year.
My husband doesn't 'do' valentine's day - but he's very good at spoiling me all year long so I don't mind.

Hy husband usually has to work on Valentine's Day so I send a special lunch with my sister who also works there and she delivers it to him during the day with a handmade card.
The local high school our teenage daughter attends sells carnations for the parents to order and they are delivered throughout the days to the kids. We also do that.
The little man and I make cookies and a "pink" or "red" themed dinner and valentines. The kids gets treats and something special after dinner.

Hey Ali! I don't have 'traditions' yet since I'm only 19, but this year is going to be really special - my boyfriend goes to school in North Carolina, and I in Michigan, and he's flying home for the weekend! It's actually to celebrate his dad's 60th birthday, but it's so great that we'll see each other for Valentine's Day, since we've just had to do this whole long distance thing. Just a few days ago, I went to count the days that we'd been 'officially dating' - thinking that I'd make him a list of reasons that I loved him based on that number. And it surprised me by being a perfect 100! So now I realize that I have a really cool responsibility to do something really creative with that - a scrapbook or a list or something? So these supplies would be the coolest thing ever to work with! Thanks so much Ali! <3

As a teacher, I usually spend Valentine's Day creating the only party my class will have during the school year. This year, since Valentine's Day is on a Saturday, my husband and I are going on a hike, complete with a picnic lunch and our heavy winter coats!

In Australia, Valentine's Day is all about romance and true love. However, I always like the US tradition of sending cards to friends and other loved ones. Why not share the love!

My 3 guys (hubby & 2 boys) always get a goodie bag of their favorite candies including some traditional valentine candies. One year I gave them a Baskin & Robbins ice cream cake, I do believe this was their favorite. They look forward to Valentines day.

My sweet, romantic husband proposed on Valentines Day by surprising me when I got home from work with an apartment covered in rose petals and an amazing homemade dinner. Every year since we make the same dinner again, and remember all the exciting adventures and changes we've had in our lives since then.

Our actual Valentine's Day is the day we met, which is St. Patrick's Day! Our first date happened in Napa Valley and it started with a hot air balloon ride. Every year we go back and visit, doing our favorite things. We can't always ride the hot air balloon, so in the cards I make him I always include heart and hot air balloon shapes on them! For my 3 year old son, I'll be making him Valentine cards to give to his preschool friends -- just like my mom used to do with us when we were kids.

Last year I left love notes on post-it notes on the headboard of our bed. When my husband went to sleep that night, he saw all the notes, read each of them, and then proceeded to put them all back in their exact location. It stayed like that for a month.

It is just my husband and I, and I usually make him a card. One year I found an old tin box that had slats in it. It was perfect for holding 60 little strips of paper standing up in the tin. I wrote on each strip of paper one thing I love about him. It was fun!
