Home Front Giveaway

SC_JANReveal_Newsletter1

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.

One person will receive the January main kit from Studio Calico.

The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.

At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Here's a bit about Lisa and her business:

When
California girl and young mom, Lisa Leonard decided to start her small
jewelry business five years ago, she had no idea how things would take
off.  With a fresh perspective and an artist’s heart she set about
making jewelry that could not be found anywhere else.  Her
hand-stamped, sterling silver jewelry is setting the trends and is
loved by women all over the world.

Her hand-wrought creations have been featured in several
national magazines, such as Parenting Magazine, Pregnancy Magazine,
Victoria Magazine and Wondertime. Online outlets are singing the
praises of Lisa Leonard Designs, including Cookie Magazine and
Glamour.com. Celebrities also love her line, including Josie Bissett,
Jason and Naomi Priestly and Jennie Garth.

Each piece is hand-cut, hammered, stamped, polished and
drilled with care in her California workshop.  You’ll find the perfect
gift for a friend, grandmother, sister or of course, yourself!  And
don’t forget dad or baby.  Lisa offers custom keychain and baby spoons
that will warm the heart.

My goal this year is to foster better relationships with family members. The first thing I've done is to say YES to my SIL who wants to learn to scrapbook. We don't get along all that well and it was a huge leap for me to say Yes. But I hope its a good start to a fresh new year.
Thanks for the give-away offer. Each of these things are amazing!!

My resolution has been the same for the last two years and now this year too. It is to say "no" more often. When my boys were younger I had them in everything and I volunteered for everything. Exhausting! Now I make rational decisions based on my family and our needs. It has worked so far... I have a little pin that goes on my key chain that says NO! as a reminder.
Thanks for the great giveaways. I've had my eye on simplestories...

My word is HOPE. In the last 2 years, I've lost hope that the overwhelming amount of work and stress of our new business would get better. This year I am taking back HOPE but instead of placing it in potential new employees or systems that will make things better, I am putting my hope in God. Isaiah 40:31. Happy New Year Ali.

My word is PRESENT. After a hectic last six months, which were filled with many unexpected blessings, I plan to embrace a slower pace at home and in daily life so I can be present with my husband, 2 1/2-year-old daughter and newborn son.

My word is "document". I took Yesterday & Today which helped open my eyes and mind to some stories I want to tell. Then I lost my dad which helped me realize that some stories can only be told by certain people in my family. I want to make sure to take the time to document those stories.

I'm still finalizing my word but leaning towards "remember". I started digi scrapbooking last year and it has really helped ease the scrapbooking process for me - this year I want to get more memories out of the computer and onto the page. Thanks for inspiring this process!

Hello Ali. My word isn't set in stone yet, but I am thinking about the word FINISH. I have so many things that I want to get done this year, and if I break each of those things down into small steps they will be easier to finish. Today I am working on journaling in my Project 365 binder from last year. It'll be nice to have that finished! :)
Thanks for the chance to be entered into the drawings.

My word is LOVE...I am doing a daily word study of it in the Bible and hoping that it will saturate my heart and overflow through me to my family and friends. I am also hoping it will be a daily reminder to get my focus off of myself and onto God and others and help me to let things go. Thanks again for this great idea! Happy New Year! Thank you for your constant inspiration!

    Hi Ali..
In years past, I've always had trouble picking my word. This year it was too easy, unfortunately. My son was diagnosed with CANCER (he's 10) so my word is ''
    HOPE
We are constantly striving to cure him of this awful disease.
With hope that you have a great new year,

Hi Ali, thanks for another chance at winning some great prizes. The first action plan I've put in place is I changed my computer password at work to my word. It will be a daily reminder every morning when I log in, what I need to focus on (and my word just happens to be Focus!).

Well, I am still debating on my word...I usually have it posted by now. I am waiting on test results for my Father...The results will change our year I'm sure. That will help in my final decision. I LOVE having a word of the year and even my husband participated last year...great inspiration Ali! THANKS! Happy 2010!

My word this year is choice...I am really excited about it for some many reason. It really focuses on my goals for 2010 in many different areas of my life. One of my goals is to: Make the choice to work out 3 days a week again...I use to be a runner...every day 5+ miles or more...I have not put on a part of running shoes in over 3 years...it is time to get back at it. I don't think I will be running a marathon this year, but maybe next year again!
Happy New Year Ali...and I LOVE these giveaways...thanks again!

Not sure of what the word will be, but "Moments" keeps sneaking back in-- Instead of planning and analyzing and worrying about things, I need to focus on the moments as they happen. I'm hoping to get on track with my Project 365; last year's didn't end up at 365, but the photos that I did capture are beautiful reminders of the little moments that truly are what our lives are about. Thanks for the beautiful giveaways and for all the inspiration! Happy New Year!
