Home Front Giveaway

SC_JANReveal_Newsletter1

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.

One person will receive the January main kit from Studio Calico.

The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.

At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Here's a bit about Lisa and her business:

When
California girl and young mom, Lisa Leonard decided to start her small
jewelry business five years ago, she had no idea how things would take
off.  With a fresh perspective and an artist’s heart she set about
making jewelry that could not be found anywhere else.  Her
hand-stamped, sterling silver jewelry is setting the trends and is
loved by women all over the world.

Her hand-wrought creations have been featured in several
national magazines, such as Parenting Magazine, Pregnancy Magazine,
Victoria Magazine and Wondertime. Online outlets are singing the
praises of Lisa Leonard Designs, including Cookie Magazine and
Glamour.com. Celebrities also love her line, including Josie Bissett,
Jason and Naomi Priestly and Jennie Garth.

Each piece is hand-cut, hammered, stamped, polished and
drilled with care in her California workshop.  You’ll find the perfect
gift for a friend, grandmother, sister or of course, yourself!  And
don’t forget dad or baby.  Lisa offers custom keychain and baby spoons
that will warm the heart.

My word is "NOW" as in no more excuses for delaying fitness improvements, as in don't wait to enjoy life's many surprises and do not wait for challenges and problems to go away.
    Happy New Year!

My word of the year is RELAX. I am going to make more time to scrap my family's memories. I also want to relax more at home with my family. No TV, no cell phone, just us having fun!

My word this year is nurture -I wanted to pick a dynamic, challenging in-your-face word, but nurture choose me. I'm great nurturing everybody else, but not-so-much for me. I want to begin to value and protect myself after a year of (successful, but difficult) treatments for breast cancer. I especially relate to Ali's words about nurture from Jan 2009 -"simplifying and pinpointing what is really important to me in my life." I have spent this past week clearing out papers and junk from 20 or maybe 30 years, finally realizing that I don't need all that stuff anymore to be safe. Thanks, Ali, for the one word idea.

My word is "health" this year. Physical health, mental health, financial health, and spiritual health. I've taken action by getting the book "deceptivly delicious" to sneak veggies into my picky two year olds food. I made SCADS of veggie puree the other day (10 different kinds!) so I have them ready to go in Oliver's dinners. Benefit is that my hubby and I are enjoying the recipies too, so we are on our way to our "physical health" portion of my word this year. Still finding action plans for the rest, but I'm really optomistic and excited about this word!

I am not sure about my word yet - but I did make some resolutions this year. Some are for personal change and some are just to accomplish something. One word I am considering is thankful - learning to be thankful for what i have and what I am and not wishing I had more or what someone else has. To do that to start with - spending more time in the Bible! Thanks for the chance to win. Studio Calico is something I have admired for some time!!!

Authenticity is my word for the year. I chose this word after watching the five video on youtube and realized that every little things that bothers me or that i complain about, I do not do anything about it and life is passing by pretty fast and i should make the most of it and be honest with myself.

I keep thinking about my one little word. I think it should be either action or intiative. Tired of waiting for help. Tired of daydreaming. I'm going to make some things happen.

I haven't finalized a word yet...as so many are swirling around with so much that I'd like to change and accomplish...
But I think "Change" and "Accomplish" are both hitting really close to home for me..
I'd like to really set out to do things and accomplish them, I think all too often I get too many balls in the air and then they all come crashing down at once and not a single thing has been done or done well! I'd like to break that habit and fall in to one where I have a clear objective and outcome with all that I do and can feel like I've accomplished some great (or even small) things during 2010!
    Great giveaways! Thanks as always!

JOY is my word for the year. So much deeper than happiness, JOY is really a choice. I want to choose JOY each day despite the circumstances. I am reading books on the topic, taking photos that represent all the JOY in my life, and I'm sure I will journal/blog/scrapbook about my discoveries.

I'm thinking my word is change. My goal set back almost a month ago is to get moving and run a 5k with my daughter in 2011. At my age and weight, it'll take a lot of change, but over a year it's doable. Hope you have a wonderful new year.

My word for the year is PEACE. I want our home to be peaceful, my spirit to be peaceful and my entire life to peaceful even in the midst of day to day craziness. One action I am going to take is to wake up a little earlier each day to pray, read my Bible and have some quiet time to still myself before our days get going.
Studio Calico and Lisa Leonard are two of my faves! I would love to win these. Thanks for sharing, Ali!

My word is CREATE as in "She CREATEd a life she loved". My thought is that each day I need to CREATE something no matter how big or small that will lead me in the new directions I want to go. Yesterday i did a couple of things...I created Garlic Chicken in the crockpot (made up the recipe) and I picked out my fav. photos of 2009 and put them in a folder (they will be on my blog today)...the whole thing is I want to go to bed at night knowing I did atleast ONE thing that will make out lives just a little better and will lead me in my new directions. Love the giveaways! Thanks for always doing these...

I haven't decided my word for this year yet. Last year was 'invest'. Maybe this year will be 'get it done' I tend to overthink, overanalyze, overplan things and then nothing gets done! So I'm going to try and shut my brain off every now and then and just get it done ....

I still have not picked my WOrd yet- have it narrowed down to 5.But one of my resolutions this year is just to take more time and enjoy the little things again. I feel like my life is so mundane and want to put a spark back in my step again-to rediscover me and who I am in this crazy world-where I fit and for what purpose.

I chose the word COMPLETE. Finishing things in this busy house is a challenge. Also, when I'm with my family, I feel COMPLETE. It has a double meaning, yet so perfect for my life right now.
