Sponsor Giveaways : Studio Calico, Memory Works, Lisa Leonard, & Designer Digitals

Home Front Giveaway

SC_JANReveal_Newsletter1

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.

One person will receive the January main kit from Studio Calico.

The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.

At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

In addition Lisa is offering a discount for readers. Enter "myword15" for 15% off your purchase.

Here's a bit about Lisa and her business:

When
California girl and young mom, Lisa Leonard decided to start her small
jewelry business five years ago, she had no idea how things would take
off.  With a fresh perspective and an artist’s heart she set about
making jewelry that could not be found anywhere else.  Her
hand-stamped, sterling silver jewelry is setting the trends and is
loved by women all over the world.

Her hand-wrought creations have been featured in several
national magazines, such as Parenting Magazine, Pregnancy Magazine,
Victoria Magazine and Wondertime. Online outlets are singing the
praises of Lisa Leonard Designs, including Cookie Magazine and
Glamour.com. Celebrities also love her line, including Josie Bissett,
Jason and Naomi Priestly and Jennie Garth.

Each piece is hand-cut, hammered, stamped, polished and
drilled with care in her California workshop.  You’ll find the perfect
gift for a friend, grandmother, sister or of course, yourself!  And
don’t forget dad or baby.  Lisa offers custom keychain and baby spoons
that will warm the heart.

Thanks for the very generous giveaway! My resolution this year is to first organize what I have and then use up what I have! I hope to visit more thrift stores this year and repurpose items rather than buy new.

My story this year will revolve around the word SURVIVE. I lost my job recently, got another one, only it pays 25% less. I went through the whole rant & rage, wish I were dead thing. Then I realized, I love a good mystery, even the not so gory, murder ones. Well, 2010 is going to be a mystery I'm going to SURVIVE so I can read the ending on 12/31! I made a 2010 calendar & added pockets to it so I can journal a re-cap of every month. Looking forward to a happy ending. Hope that is the ending everyone has this year. thanks for offering these goodies.

My word is "LOOK". This word was inspired by my 20 month old daughter who is always using this word. I am going to take the time to enjoy, to "look" at what is going on around me. For me it is a reminder to slow down and be in the moment and to appreciate the "now".

I haven't decided what my word will be yet. But I'm resolving to be more in the moment with my son (as opposed to letting my mind wander to lists of things I need to do, etc.). An action I'm doing related to that resolution is to find two times a day where I'll play with him, completely in the moment and focusing on him.
    Thanks for the great giveaways!

I also choose the word story. I was in your BPS class and realized that I have so many stories that need to be put down on paper. Things that are floating around in my head that I don't want to forget but more importantly I want to share with my son. So in the year 2010 I want to record as many stories as I can.

My word for the new year is courage. I am in the middle of a divorce with three young children, have started two new businesses to try and support us and have many, many hard decisions to make in 2010. I need to have the courage to make very difficult choices about whether or not we can stay in our home, if I can support my children here without financial help, if I should go back to school, move in with my parents out of state . . . . it is going to be a tough year. I must have the courage to tackle all of it while maintaining a home full of love and security for my children.

Wonderful! I'm still pondering my personal word. For our family, I think we're using Fun. We spent the last year building a house and having baby#2. A lot of the fun was left behind. This year it's time to get back out and have a blast!
    Thanks for a great giveaway!

My word for the year is REAL. I am going back to school to do something that I have been thinking about for five years, but was afraid to do because of the major career change & schooling that it would involve. It is time for my chosen career to reflect the REAL, authentic me.

My word is FEARLESS. I took a voice over class three years ago and got one paying gig. I never followed through to make a demo, but am going to contact the person and do that this year. Whether or not it gets me work-I need to do it for me-I need to make choices for myself out of faith and belief rather than fear.

I haven't decided on a word, yet, but in regard to new year resolutions, I try to be very specific (and therefor measurable) when it comes to setting my goals for the year ahead. Happy New Year, Ali!
