Home Front Giveaway

SC_JANReveal_Newsletter1

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.

One person will receive the January main kit from Studio Calico.

The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.

At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Three people will receive the lovely Word Of The Year necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.

In addition Lisa is offering a discount for readers. Enter "myword15" for 15% off your purchase.

Here's a bit about Lisa and her business:

When
California girl and young mom, Lisa Leonard decided to start her small
jewelry business five years ago, she had no idea how things would take
off.  With a fresh perspective and an artist’s heart she set about
making jewelry that could not be found anywhere else.  Her
hand-stamped, sterling silver jewelry is setting the trends and is
loved by women all over the world.

Her hand-wrought creations have been featured in several
national magazines, such as Parenting Magazine, Pregnancy Magazine,
Victoria Magazine and Wondertime. Online outlets are singing the
praises of Lisa Leonard Designs, including Cookie Magazine and
Glamour.com. Celebrities also love her line, including Josie Bissett,
Jason and Naomi Priestly and Jennie Garth.

Each piece is hand-cut, hammered, stamped, polished and
drilled with care in her California workshop.  You’ll find the perfect
gift for a friend, grandmother, sister or of course, yourself!  And
don’t forget dad or baby.  Lisa offers custom keychain and baby spoons
that will warm the heart.

My word will be focus. I have lots of plans, but I'd like to try to remain a bit more focused on checking things off my list one at at time. Plus, I want to focus only on those things I have the power to change.

To BE more present in the moment and enjoy the ride, be it up or down or a little of both. To appreciate the small details.

My word is SERENITY, which I hope to weave throughout my life. I'm working hard at remembering to breathe deeply and be calm, not overreact, to situations that are adverse and throw me off-track.
Ali, the giveaways this weekend are incredible! I'd love to win any, but especially your "365" overlays and the word jewelry!

My personal goal is organization. My hubby and I found a plan (from the Today show) and went and purchased the needed supplies from an office store. Now the plan is to actually put it into action!

My word this year is "reconcile." The past few years have brought lots of heartache to our family and this year I am praying that forgiveness will lead to reconciliation!

I have decided that this year my word is "me". I have found that over the last several year I have been too worried about others that I have forgotten to take care of myself. The first step that I'm tackling for "me" is exercising. I must keep up my 5 day a week workout habit. I feel this is the catalyst for taking care of myself and when I'm excersizing, other aspects of taking care of myself fall into place!
Happy New Year to the Edwards Family!

My word this year is HAPPY. I will be happy. How hard can it be? I wont let the little stuff get to me. I'll pick my battles. I'll take more time to do the things that make me happy. And more than anything, this will make my family happy!
Thanks for the inspiration! And the giveaways don't hurt either!!! LOL

My word this year is ME. To that end, I intend on taking some evening classes at the university. It's a big step, I'm 20 years out of school, but it's nagged at me that long that I haven't finished that degree. So, bit by bit, I'm going to work at putting that nagging voice to rest.

I love the idea of letting a word "choose me", and I am leaning toward the word SIMPLICITY! My life word is JOY...looking for the joy in every day living. Simplicity because I want to live a little more simply. Enjoy the many, many blessings in life! Joyfully!

I've downloaded a worksheet on choosing a word of the year and will complete the tasks. However, I'm leaning toward "discover" since I'm planning several trips this year.

I think my word for the year will be DOCUMENT. I have other goals I'm focusing on day-to-day, but the overarching creative force I'm following is to document our life, our experiences. I purchased the Log Your Memory 2010 weekly challenge book as a way to jumpstart that process and to keep me on track.
My best to you all in 2010!

Thank you so much for the chance to win!
