Home Front Giveaway

SC_JANReveal_Newsletter1

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.

One person will receive the January main kit from Studio Calico.

The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.

At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Here's a bit about Lisa and her business:

When
California girl and young mom, Lisa Leonard decided to start her small
jewelry business five years ago, she had no idea how things would take
off.  With a fresh perspective and an artist’s heart she set about
making jewelry that could not be found anywhere else.  Her
hand-stamped, sterling silver jewelry is setting the trends and is
loved by women all over the world.

Her hand-wrought creations have been featured in several
national magazines, such as Parenting Magazine, Pregnancy Magazine,
Victoria Magazine and Wondertime. Online outlets are singing the
praises of Lisa Leonard Designs, including Cookie Magazine and
Glamour.com. Celebrities also love her line, including Josie Bissett,
Jason and Naomi Priestly and Jennie Garth.

Each piece is hand-cut, hammered, stamped, polished and
drilled with care in her California workshop.  You’ll find the perfect
gift for a friend, grandmother, sister or of course, yourself!  And
don’t forget dad or baby.  Lisa offers custom keychain and baby spoons
that will warm the heart.

One person will receive the Life Documented kit from the new Simple Stories collection by MemoryWorks.

Your photos and memories are far too important to keep in a box, store on a computer or bury in a pile. No cropping. No adhesive. No stress. It's as easy as that - sharing your photos and memories has never been easier!

I am still thinking of a word for 2010. It will be related to my overall health and well-being. I hope to race in a mini-triathlon this year, am dabbling in becoming a vegan, and want to just chill-out a little ;) All this after ending the year feeling totally unhealthy and frazzled. So far I am off to a good start! I am thinking something along the lines of "RENEW" but need to narrow it down a bit. Happy New Year!!

This year our word is Peace. 2009 was a bit of a rollercoaster ride for our family so we are hoping for some Peace in 2010. We have already made a framed scrapbook page of our word and it is hanging proudly in our kitchen for all to see! Thanks for the giveaways.

I actually haven't settled on my word yet. There are several that fit with my goals for this year: simplify, balance, love...This year, I hope to let go of details that bog me down from completing what I start. I want to find a better balance for my work and home life and get back to doing the things (and people) I love most. Yesterday, was a slow start to my goals- just relaxing and cleaning from the busy family activities. One day at a time, we'll get there!
Thanks for the chance at these fabulous giveaways! They're all truly awesome!

My word this year is SIMPLIFY! I keep coming back to that and resonating with everything "simple" (including the Simple Stories system! - but ALL those giveaways are YUMMY!), so I'm going with it. I even changed my blog to reflect my new focus.

My word of the year is REFRESH. I would like to make some changes so that I'm doing what I used to do - go to the gym, watch what I eat, have fun outdoors with my kids. Now that my daughter is two, I have to find time to get back to a better and healthier lifestyle. Thanks for the inspiration and for you great giveaways!

Purpose...thats my word. For the coming year my goal is to try to seek it. To try everything thats comes my way, to continue to learn as much as I can, to contribute to society and to be a good influence to people. Life is so short, I’d like to make the most out of it and possibly leave a mark in this world. I’d like to find my purpose in life… whatever it maybe.

I would love to get your set of overlays! I'm definitely planning on taking a photo a day of our soon to be born child (35 weeks pregnant now). I am 100% digital now so that would work great.
My husband and I are going for a weekend getaway tomorrow and will be writing down our goals. We do it every year with categories: Fitness, Relationships, Work, Hobby. I then make a scrapbook page of my goals and post it on our fridge and at the end of the year, I get to put a check mark next to each item completed. (usually I have about 5 items/category). I am happy to report that I checked 75% of my goals for 2009!
    Aloha, Sarah

My word for the year is "Today". I am using this word to help me live in the moment, to cherish what is around me, and to focus on what is right in front of me. I am at the point in my life where things are changing rapidly, so my hope is that this word will help me slow down and enjoy the moment while it is still here.

i think my word should be NOW, because i want to focus on the now, living in the moment and taking in everyday joys that seem to be overlooked so easily. my husband and i have 2 companies and we have 3 children (10, 5 and 6mths). live is always crazy busy and often i find myself so consumed in things to do and trying to stay organized that i loose focus on the now...whats important and right in front of me. i need to slow down and take in this time with my kids, b/c ringing in the new year...reminds me that time goes faster than i want it to, and i don't have a remote control to rewind it or pause it....so i need to enjoy the NOW!
