Home Front Giveaway

SC_JANReveal_Newsletter1

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.

One person will receive the January main kit from Studio Calico.

The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.

At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

In addition Lisa is offering a discount for readers. Enter "myword15" for 15% off your purchase.

Here's a bit about Lisa and her business:

When
California girl and young mom, Lisa Leonard decided to start her small
jewelry business five years ago, she had no idea how things would take
off.  With a fresh perspective and an artist’s heart she set about
making jewelry that could not be found anywhere else.  Her
hand-stamped, sterling silver jewelry is setting the trends and is
loved by women all over the world.

Her hand-wrought creations have been featured in several
national magazines, such as Parenting Magazine, Pregnancy Magazine,
Victoria Magazine and Wondertime. Online outlets are singing the
praises of Lisa Leonard Designs, including Cookie Magazine and
Glamour.com. Celebrities also love her line, including Josie Bissett,
Jason and Naomi Priestly and Jennie Garth.

Each piece is hand-cut, hammered, stamped, polished and
drilled with care in her California workshop.  You’ll find the perfect
gift for a friend, grandmother, sister or of course, yourself!  And
don’t forget dad or baby.  Lisa offers custom keychain and baby spoons
that will warm the heart.

My word is "relax". I always sweat the small stuff and I don't want to do that this year. My goal is to take a deep breath each time I'm starting to feel the stress and just walk away from it. We'll see how that helps.

My word is CREATE. I have decided to use my creativity to help me be more frugal in the coming year. I will make gifts and cards. I will find creative ways to entertain my children therefore teaching them to expand their own creativity. I know this is going to be a great year!

Happy New Year! My word is "Take Control" of my health, finances and time. I know it's two words, but it best describes what I want to accomplish this year.
    Thanks!

My word for the year will be "Patient".... I will endeavor to be much more patient with My Girls, My Family, My Ambitions, My Work... I need to constantly remember that everything takes their own time, and not jump to conclusions too quickly.

My word for this year is PROGRESS ... I am using it to remind myself that it is about progress not perfection .... that its ok to get only 2 out of 3 things on your list done .... that I am not a total failure if I only get 2 out of 3 loads of laundry done... just trying not to beat myself up for being an imperfect person this year ....

I deemed 2009 "The Year of the NO" !! It was the best thing I ever did! Though, it was not always easy to say, I felt great afterwords. One less commitment, one less stress, and more time with my growing family. Who knew 2 letters could bring such relief?!
Best of luck in '10 with "NO!"

I haven't narrowed down my word yet... but I have a title for the year. It's the "Year of the Bernina"- I intend to add sewing to my arsenal of creative pursuits.

I don't really have a word. But I do have a phrase: "no excuses." Because what I really need to do is stop thinking of reasons NOT to do what I want or need to do. I'm going to print out some copies of the phrase and put them in key places (like on my laptop and the fridge - maybe laminate one I can put in my purse).

Wow these are some awesome prizes. With a discount code for the Lisa necklaces...I am on way to order! My word is ACTION...I have had so many projects, ideas and goals that I constantly push to the back burner that ACTION is required to accomplish them, so my word is to remind me that none of these things are going make themselves happen...I have tried that for awhile and it hasn't worked out! Thank you for more great giveaways and yet another inspiring project.

    my word...INTENTIONAL...
too often relationships aren't fostered because we say we should do something, but we don't put an action/date to it... Whether it's time for God, family, or an old friend/coworker.
the FIRST application for me... Refraining from the phrase "we should" and replacing it with "let's xxx ON xxx" and putting a dare/time to it immediately!

My word for this year is ACCEPT. It's going to remind me to live in the moment and accept the moment for what it is -- good or bad. It's okay to just "be"!! Things don't always have to be so perfect.

I'm fairly certain my word for this year is "respect". I'm starting with respecting myself...not being so hard on myself, respecting my health by taking care of myself, and ending some relationships/situations that are not good for me.
    Great giveaway!

My word of the year is embrace and I have been very intentional about choosing this word. This coming year will be one of many changes so I can either fight it or embrace it and I've chosen embrace. It has required a serious shift in my thought process which is the main action I have taken so far with respect to my one little word. So excited for what is to come.

This is the first time I'll be choosing a word...and my word this year is "Focus".
Since becoming a SAHM I feel like I discovered a whole new world of arts and crafts. There are just so many things to try and do that I often start a project only to leave it unfinished for something new that has caught my attention. This year, I am going to be focused and see my projects through.
I also want to slow down and spend more time with my daughter and focus more on her too. I'm so caught up with daily chores and whatnots that sometimes I feel like I don't spend enough with her. This year, I plan to be more focused on what is most important to me -- family.
