GIVEAWAY | Three people will receive spots in Mary Ann Moss's online class Remains Of The Day.
Remains Of The Day is the antidote for all of those paper scraps that keep multiplying in your favorite scrap box and clogging up your artistic super highway. In this process AND project oriented class we’ll be constructing a shabby but sturdy journal (like this one) using all of that paper you’ve been hoarding. Ordinary life never looked better than seen through the pages of this stitched up journal of scraps.

To make spring cleaning fun for the family, we make a custom mix Cd to sing and dance to while we work and play silly games to pass the time. We will set a timer and challenge each other to see who can beat the clock or fold/store/straighten things fastest. It makes it more fun for everyone and goes a lot quicker since we do it together.

My favorite spring cleaning tip is to use freecycle - a wonderful, world wide yahoo group base mechanism for giving new life to your old stuff.

I don't really spring clean either. However, I assign myself projects on a somewhat regular basis to clean out closets, throw out magazines and catalogs etc. Watching "Hoarders" also gets me motivated to get rid of stuff.

Sounds like a thought process class. Great idea. Best tip is don't wait 'til Spring. 2d tip is Don't clean alone. If your on ladders and such, you want to be sure someone will come looking for you.

That class looks fun! I always collect tons of stuff on trips that don't end up getting scrapbooked, but I can't stand to throw it away. We've started to set aside a day a month to tidy and clean the house and though it's a bit of work on that day, it makes us feel good that the house is clean for the rest of the month. Otherwise, it's so easy to let housework slide.

In Puerto Rico we need to deal with getting rid of humidity all year long.

Open the windows! Fresh air really motivates.

I would LOVE to be part of this class! Spring Cleaning? It sounds too much like it involves cleaning...I think I'm allergic to it! Seriously, the only way I can tackle it is to take one room at a time and thoroughly do that room then move on to another room. Thanks for the chance!

I think my best tip would be, do Spring cleaning early in the Spring while the weather is kinda crappy, then you can enjoy the really nice days outside when they get here! Thanks for the chance to win!

This class would be the perfect "spring cleaning" solution for all the accumulated bits! Thanks.

I just go at it! I have 5 kids so going through clothes before the weather gets good is a must. Refashioning some old shirts into spring dresses or shorts is another thing I do.
Then I attack the backyard and clean up all the old toys and bring out the new spring stuff. Plus cleaning the huge play set is a chore in itself from all the windy and rainy weather.

My best spring cleaning tip is to move houses. Moving definitely inspires a good purge. I don't recommend doing this every year, though, haha!

Not really a cleaning tip. Just open the windows and let the warm air into the rooms. And hold your head into the sun.

Looks like a neat class - would love to win. I really don't enjoy cleaning of any kind so I get the kids involved and we make it a competition.

Music! That's the only way I can spring clean! Get some upbeat funky music on and the house cleans itself!

Sadly I don't do the whole Spring cleaning thing. I'm fortunate to have a house keeper 2x a month. Plus I do my version of Spring cleaning through out the year. Thank you for the opportunity.

Get together with another family and have a garage sale! It helps motivate you to clean and make a little spring fun money too. This class looks amazing.

I like to put on some loud music and take one closet, drawer, etc. at a time. Soon you'll have so many piles you'll have to start throwing things away and designating thinge to donate. It really works,,,

The best tip I have for spring cleaning is to crank up some peppy music that I love. It gets you going.

For stuff that I haven't used in a while but still hesitate to get rid of, I give them to a relative or good friend who I know will put them to good use. I don't feel so bad afterwards.:)
