Sponsor Giveaway | Mary Ann Moss
GIVEAWAY | Three people will receive spots in Mary Ann Moss's online class Remains Of The Day.
Remains Of The Day is the antidote for all of those paper scraps that keep multiplying in your favorite scrap box and clogging up your artistic super highway. In this process AND project oriented class we’ll be constructing a shabby but sturdy journal (like this one) using all of that paper you’ve been hoarding. Ordinary life never looked better than seen through the pages of this stitched up journal of scraps.
TO BE ENTERED into this giveaway please leave a comment below sharing your favorite spring cleaning tip (if you are reading this post on Facebook please come to my blog to leave a comment). I am another one for doing a little bit everyday. This year I have been doing this with great success- pantry, closets, attic, junk drawer, game room, scaproom, cleaning the blinds and baseboards have all been cleaned, freshened, and organized.

my tip is to dejunk everything by having a box handy while cleaning and throwing stuff in it for a summer garagesale.

if you haven't worn it in the past year...toss it! if it's been sitting under the bathroom/kitchen sink for months and months without being touched...toss it! and clean the windows and blinds...springtime deserves to be seen through clean windows!

A love ushering in the new season with bright and cheerful set of new pillowcases that match the season. So a great way to get that "cleaned" look with a minimal amount of time is to purchase or make a new set of pillowcases and top it off with springtime flowers on a cleaned surface. So joyful.

Spring cleaning? I barely get summer, winter, fall cleaning done. I think the my best tip involves Magic Erasers- they clean everything.

Open the windows and don't forget to vacuum the dust under and behind the bed....oh and wash your pillows! Thanks for the opportunity.

My spring cleaning tip? Work in one room at a time! top to bottom and finish it! One room at a time makes it seem less daunting than flitting all around the house! When that first room is done you can admire it and be motivated to do the next one!

I love to get a group of friends together, and just get the whole yard done in one day or the whole house done in one day and then have a bbq and feed them for all their help. Do the same thing at their house too!

Spring cleaning... well, maybe this is more of a spring organizing tip -- get a label maker!! Not only can you label boxes and get organized, but you can also use it in your fun day-to-day art projects :)

I get a friend to come over, a really good one will do this for you, and get them to help deciding on what to keep and what to toss. The friend usually can toss, or talk you into tossing, things easier because they have no attachment!!!

I love spring cleaning with all of my curtains and windows open! It just gives me added adrenaline to get through the cleaning. It puts a positive spin on a blah task.

My favorite cleaning tip is to tackle a little bit every day, that way it's not quite as daunting a task

One room a day, otherwise I'm overwhelmed by all that needs to be done. So the whole house takes a week, but each room gets my complete 'devotion'.

Spring cleaning? I should probably do that! Actually, we live on a gravel road out in the country and this time of year, the dust is horrific. If I don't stay on top of the sweeping/dusting everyday, the house gets messy so fast. Not good when you have a crawling baby! I would love to hear tips on keeping the wood floors in tip top shape.

what my Pastor's wife taught us: If you haven't used it in two years you don't need it.
Im amazed at how few exceptions there are to that rule!

ooooh! This is on my list to take this year, I would love to win it! Spring cleaning tip.. I will give 2, don't get on overwhelm by starting on one small area, don't freak yourself out by all you "have" to do, take it a bit at time. The other, don't take spring cleaning just as physical but mental as well, what thoughts need to be thrown out or "gussied" up?!

I take one room (sometimes 2) each weekend and do a top to bottom cleaning, spreading it out over about 6 weeks. Seems less overwhelming that way.

My favorite spring cleaning tip is that vinegar + baking soda clean just about everything! Mix the vinegar with a little bit of water and use a spray bottle to clean mirrors, sinks, toilets, counters. Put it in a bucket to clean floors. Use the baking soda as your abrasive for your more stubborn spots. And it costs way less than a bottle of Windex or Mr. Clean!
