Sponsor Giveaway | Mary Ann Moss

GIVEAWAY | Three people will receive spots in Mary Ann Moss's online class Remains Of The Day.

Remains Of The Day is the antidote for all of those paper scraps that keep multiplying in your favorite scrap box and clogging up your artistic super highway. In this process AND project oriented class we’ll be constructing a shabby but sturdy journal (like this one) using all of that paper you’ve been hoarding. Ordinary life never looked better than seen through the pages of this stitched up journal of scraps.

Spring Cleaning!?? Well, I should probably be doing that right? We seem to be making dust and mess at the moment with remodeling. However, if I were cleaning I would use
all Mrs. Meyers products. They are great for the environment and safe for children and pets. They also have a lemony scent as well as lavendar, geranium, etc.

My favorite spring cleaning tip for myself, is to actually get started. I often just put it off, but once I get going I am so glad I did!

I like the tip to start at the door and move around the room in one direction to clean your way back to the door. And, clean top to bottom. Thanks for the chance to win!

My mom was a spring cleaning fanatic! When my sister & I were younger we would spend our spring breaks cleaning every morning with mom.....closets, cupboards, mopboards, walls, the whole shabang!
Now I make sure my spring break is filled with fun! I may do some deep cleaning, but my focus is more on the fun side of things.
But one of the things I try to do is clean all my windows & screens to bring in more of the spring sunshine.

Well don't know if it is just a spring cleaning tip because I use it through out the year. I save my husbands old socks and then slip one on each hand, wet one with a mild cleaning solution and wash the window blinds slat by slat, the the other one is just damp with plain water so I can wipe them off again. Works like a charm and there isn't dust all over the place.

Before I start Spring Cleaning, I take a walk in the fresh morning air to motivate me for the task ahead. After my walk, I open all the windows and wipe them clean.

I love cleaning the closets in the spring...getting rid of bulky, heavy clothes and making room for the bright, light clothing of spring...and flip flops of course. My tip: When you clean out your closet hang all of the hangers backwards on the rod. When you wear something and return it to the closet, turn the hanger around. At the end of a season, it is very easy to see what you haven't worn...if I haven't worn if for the entire season...it is outta here!

My favorite spring cleaning tip is Get Help. Yesterday I called a service to get my carpet cleaned and the same service does windows and blinds.

I try to wait until I can open the windows. Fresh air always inspires a new, fresh approach to my cleaning. Living in north WI ... sometimes I just have to clean to the heater hum! LOL! {Like WHERE did ALL this snow come from??} Looks like an awesome class!

tip #1: PURGE....do I do it? Heck no! But it's a great tip! ha ha.

tip #2: open the windows and wash the curtains and windows. There's nothing like fresh air and clean windows once the weather gets a little bit nicer.

Great giveaway. I would love to win a spot in this class.

As I put away my winter clothes, I set aside anything I didn't wear that winter and donate it. It's easier to do right after the season. If you do it when you take your winter clothes out, you are more tempted to think you will wear it again.

Open the windows, throw on your favorite music, declutter for awhile and dance for awhile and then keep it up. You'll be done in no time!

    Thanks, Ali!

spring cleaning to me means getting rid of everything that I don't absolutely love or need......I have been not shopping at all this winter and just using up what I have. when the clutter is gone open up the windows, put on some good music, get out the cleaners, light a spring candle and start cleaning......

Funnily enough I need to get my house in order ready for the new arrival in 6 weeks so I'm reading websites to get tips and so far I think just starting one job at a time would be mine.
    Great giveaway as usual Ali

My tip would have to be plan for one area at a time, one room at a time.. start by purging all those spots that fill up with "stuff" first... like sideboards.. cupboards.. kitchen junk drawers.. then do the room.... it makes me feel very productive to know all those spots people can't see are clean and organized too.

Well, I think most people know this tip. My husband makes fun of me. He says I clean "down" not "up" -- I start on the top shelf when dusting because the dust and clutter fall down to the lower shelves. The floor is last because it is the biggest shelf. Seems obvious to me but apparently not to him! Thanks so much for the chance to win. I really need to use up those scraps. I definitely cannot throw them away!

Instead of doing a marathon spring cleaning session, I every weekend (since during the week I work outside the home) I dedicate myself to a detailed organization and cleaning of an area of the house. That way the process becomes more manageable. A big trash bag also helps.
