GIVEAWAY | Three people will receive spots in Mary Ann Moss's online class Remains Of The Day.

Remains Of The Day is the antidote for all of those paper scraps that keep multiplying in your favorite scrap box and clogging up your artistic super highway. In this process AND project oriented class we’ll be constructing a shabby but sturdy journal (like this one) using all of that paper you’ve been hoarding. Ordinary life never looked better than seen through the pages of this stitched up journal of scraps.

I turn on my favorite playlist... open all the windows... and try to clean/dance at the same time!

Sounds like a really fun class! My spring cleaning tip is to use wadded up newspaper to clean windows, whether using commercial or homemade (green!) window cleaner. It makes windows squeaky clean and reuses something you already have.

This sounds like such a fun class! My favorite part about spring cleaning is opening all the windows. The house seems cleaner and fresher without even doing any actual cleaning yet. :)

My tip is get rid of clothes you haven't used in one year. I used to have things in my closet from 15 years ago. I felt so much lighter when I gave those away!

I also use the box theory. If I put something in the box and don't need it again for six months--I either throw it away or donate it to our local thrift store. Works for me!

My spring cleaning tip is to just get it done (something I have been neglecting lately)! Planning and do-ing are completely different things and I just need to organize closets, clean all corners of this house, thin out toys, and organize, organize, organize. But unless I just get to it, it will continue to just be a list item! Time to get it done!

I would rather play outside in the Spring, so I try to stay ahead of cleaning on a daily basis. This way the house is always ready for pop in friends and relatives, and cleaning is never a big chore.

My spring cleaning tip is the 5 SECOND RULE... to say YES NO or MAYBE. I hold an item (clothes, toys, or dishes) and quickly decide. I revisit the MAYBE pile the next day or week as I think of someone that could benefit from the item... it makes me happy that someone else can use the stuff I no longer need. I just cleaned my basement and all my closets over christmas and spring break...I ended up taking 4 truckloads to Goodwill... It was a great bonding experience with the kids as they got involved too.

Part of my spring cleaning is organizing my spring wardrobe. Everything comes out of the closet. Clean the closet. Try on the clothes, get rid of stuff I don't wear, make a list of things to buy. THEN put the clothes away.

It is motivating to get the windows open and let the sunshine in! I love the feeling of getting all the kids' clothes purged and organized for the season.

I say build and accomplished list :) While it is inherently the same thing as a "to do" list, it makes you feel great and inspired to get it done when you put items on the accomplished list then hold yourself accountable. :) Think of all the great things you can get accomplished today!

Add a little borax to your washing machine when washing all those winter blankets and comforters. Works great at getting out all those musty smells.

    Great looking class!

My tip would be to download a list from online...Martha Stewart has one...and chip away at it. It's ok if it takes awhile.

One thing that makes it easier is to break it down into smaller pieces and take care of what I call hot spots on a regular basis. This way you are attacking those places which tend to gather the clutter more often leaving you feel like you have just did some spring cleaning. You can also add some of those bigger jobs in areas of your home to be cleaned here and there on a quarterly basis. Like pulling out the fridge and doing a thorough job on it.

I am just AMAZED at how we really just need to clean up our nest in the Spring! It just kinda happens, like when we smell the first scent of spring, you know what I mean .. and then it starts!! It makes me feel so good to have a fresh start, this class seems to know that we need to do that for our scrapbooking and crafting, I would love to do this!! Thanks for the chance!!

I've been wanting to take her class for ever! I've been spring cleaning today and my favorite thing is going through material boxes and cleaning them of things I'm not using, making bags of fabrics to give to the thrift store!

    Have a lovely weekend!

Microfiber cloths! Norwex is amazing, but any microfiber are good. All you need is water and these cloths to clean your whole home top to bottom without the dangers of chemicals. And it will shine!
