Why is it that I have this nice big workspace but it always ends up that I work in one little corner? Anyone relate to this?

Someone said that a Messy desk is the sign of Genius. My desk gets like this everyday, but if I can I try to take 15 min to put things back to some degree so that tomorrow morning I can start out with at least a place to start again :-).

I completely understand! I have an old kitchen table in my scraproom and most of the time it is piled with bits & pieces of items I want to use. I consider it my inspiration! Isn't a messy space the sign of a genius??

They say that a messy desk is the sign of Genius.....I try to clean up everynight with 5 minutes of time. Just so that I can get to a clean desk in the morning. However, I am not always finished with the project I am working on so I put the working project in a file next to my desk. Just so that I can have a clean desk in the morning. I just cannot work in a messy place...so that means I am NOT a Genius. Oh Well, love the scrapping....

    Hi Ali
I received my April RealSimple today, and I saw your little piece. It made me smile. I am so excited for April's a week in the life. It is still my family's favorite album.
    Thank you!

So with you on this!!! Even if I tidy everything up, by the time I make one card I have a microscopic spot on the table to work!!! Glad to hear I'm not alone!!

That is my desk, except for the scrapbooking stuff, it is all about college stuff: books, calculators (yes, three of them), pen and pencils and all those things. Now I am tusying in the dinner table. lol Need to scrap again really soon.

Tee hee, it does resemble my nice neat piles. Every now and again I beat them back, but it does seem the workspace is always shrinking...

I have an 8 ft table and the only space I have to work on is my 13 x 13 glass mat. I make sure it's cleared off, so I have that much space to work on. Everything else is at an arm's length away.

Exactly what happens every time I clean off my scrapbook table to get started. But be the signs of a true scrapper.

So glad not to be alone! Sometimes it's daunting to even want to START a project because you have to wade through the mess first! I always promise myself that next time...

Doesn't matter if I am cropping or doing my real job, the amount of space I have to actively work in gets very small!

all i have is my kitchen table. it's big, but I too end up working in a 16x16 space, just enough to surround my LO with tons of junk

I have no corner left--I end up on the floor, and even that space is nonexistent right now!

Yes, I can definitely relate. I try to be good about putting my supplies back, but it doesn't always happen.

Oh yes. I start with a clean table and no matter how I try to put away as I go i end up working on a piece that is barely card size - which is really bad if I'm making a page and worse if it's a double.

ALWAYS! right now I am in "Spring Purge" mode though, so for this week it looks pretty good, but as I will be prepping 8 classes for an upcoming crop in 7 weeks...things will change dramatically I am sure:-)

The larger my workspace, the tinyer space that I end up working in --- I totally get it!
