Why is it that I have this nice big workspace but it always ends up that I work in one little corner? Anyone relate to this?

I can't scrap with stuff all over. Happens everytime, even when I put stuff away as I go.

All too well can I relate! It doesn't matter how much i clean things off, it quickly becomes only a tiny little area to create! Glad I'm not the only one!!

a messy desk is a sign of a creative mind! my table has two sides and they are both messy! what does that mean?

Thank God I'm not the only one! I have a 10-ft. table and I rarely have enough space for a 12x24 layout on it!!

Seriously! I always joke that no matter how much room I start with, I somehow manage to scrap myself into a 13x13 square, just big enough to house the layout and with all my "stuff" piled around me. Never fails.

That looks very much how my workspace looks after a couple of layouts....and then you haven't even seen the floor yet:)

It seems that it is not related to the amount of space one has... I have a very limited space for my scrap and my little table is always filled with my stuff, but I always have a small corner left to work. I have been wondering if this is not a great image for our time as well: we fill it, it feels always too little, but it is really maters to us there is always a small corner left for what matters to us. It is a matter of taking time (like taking space). If you really needed more space, you would take it... this little corner works for you and me to reach our creative goal. Let's make sure we keep this little corner of time as well for what fulfils us. Avec tendresse, Segolene

I have a whole scraproom, with a separate sewing table and computer desk, and yet the only open space is a 12x12 square I clear each time I want to do a layout.

That could be a photo of my workspace! You probably clean your's up at the end of the day- not me.

I can totally relate. Sometimes the clutter on my scrap table gets so out of control that I move my project out into the kitchen or dining room to work. Our dining room table is much bigger than my scraproom table, but I still end up spreading out all my supplies and working in a tiny space. It's even worse if I go into the kitchen. I wind up taking over the whole kitchen table and island with supplies and tools and I work on whatever itty bitty area of the island is left. I think the spreading out must be another facet to the scrapbooking disease much like the desire to collect and hoard as many pretty products as possible. Oh well. If it is a disease I'm not looking to be cured.

I do the same thing and I've come to realize that part of me loves the excitement of having about 6 different projects going at once and the drama of how beautiful the clean space looks when I finish the projects and slowly start to see my desk again. Unfortunately, this whole process drags outs a long time because I don't get a lot of time to scrap....

Absolutely!!!!!!!!!!!! Then I have such a mess because everything is all crowded into one space. Itsn't it funny when your working though how you "know" right where everyting is and it just looks like a mess!!! I think the pic looks way yummy, a artist at work:)
