Why is it that I have this nice big workspace but it always ends up that I work in one little corner? Anyone relate to this?

No matter how much or how little space I have - I fill it out to the maximum. In my craft room I have my computer and my daughters computer/workspace too, and everytime she wats to do something in HER little space I have to move half a dozen things.. I use chairs, the zink (I have an old kitchen as craft room), the table, the floow, every shelf available... and there is things everywhere. And then I clean it up, start creating and it looks the same again. I guess it has something to do vith that creative process... *smile*

This is what my scrapbooking space looks like as well and i have come to realize that I am more productive in a smaller space. Riddle me that Batman??!!

Oh yes, I do this too. I end up trying to scrap a 12x12 LO in an 8x8 space...

HECK YES!!! I have a HUGE workspace-a farmhouse table that can seat six-and I generally craft in a 12 x 12 space. Sometimes it gets a little more crowded and my space is about 10 x 10! I have found that after I clean it all up and it looks huge and spacious again, I don't feel as creative. But when stuff is creeping along my project just begging to be used, my creativity abounds!!!

I can totally relate. My table looks similar to yours....one little section to work from. Why is that? LOL! ;-)

and here I thought I was the only one with this problem. My desk is 4 ft. x 8 ft. and I usually end up with about 12" of free space.

i ALWAYS back myself into a corner. at this point, i just had a designer friend of mine come over & organize my "CROP CORNER" -- it's beautiful!! a place for everything and everything in it's place (well, that's the idea at least) ;o)

When I'm working on a project...I'm a total mess. But when I'm finished I like to re-organize, with everything back into its place. So when I start again everything is all clean...you know the calm before the storm.

Totally! Glad I'm not the only one. I had my area all cleaned up and it must be magnetized to attract stuff because it is all cluttered again. My goal is to get it cleared off again today. So much more creative when it is clean...

It always seems to be that way no matter how hard we try to make things different and try other ways to combat the mess! Let me know if you find a solution to the problem

Um, yes. I can relate. I have enough room for one LO, the rest is filled with tools, iPod, stuff I haven't put away, inspiration, stuff I haven't figured out what to do with, and just stuff! I love my space, anyway, though.

Welcome to the desk (and life) of an artist. Mine looks exactly the same most days. (-: But hubby has promised to either purchase or build me a larger desk. I haven't got the heart to tell him it will still end up in the same mess. (-:
