Three Things + 1 : Lots of Love (and giveaways)

Threethingsjan14

This week we are taking a peek at a couple Valentine/Love related products. Look for another round of three next week - there are just too many cool things out there for creating projects that celebrate those you love.

• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.

• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.

Every Valentines day my daughter and I make the Valentines for her classmates completely from scratch, we use punches and stickers. We have a great time. We have more fun the older she gets.

Hey Ali! I celebrate Valentine's Day by leaving a love note in my husband's car the night before! It sets the romantic mood for the rest of the day when I make a delicious dinner too!

Valentine's Day has always been one of my favorite holidays! I put on a small party for my pre-k students, this is always fun because I love to see them read their cards as they put them into their friends mail boxes:)

Every year my husband and I go stay in a hotel (usually just in the city 20 minutes from home). It's a nice time to just be alone together, snuggling, talking, ordering room service, etc. So important to reconnect as adults, not just parents!

Every year we order a heart shaped pizza from one of two local pizza places that make them for Valentine's Day. For some reason, heart shaped pizza ALWAYS tastes better than regular round ones!

Not sure what time zone you're in, so I'll see if I can still get my name in the drawing.
I'm single so nothing special for Valentine's Day. I think I'll do some stuff with my granddaughter though.

We show others that we love them by baking and frosting heart shaped cakes, adding homemade cards and delivering the sweet treats to our friends and family. My boys love to help bake and every year our cakes take on a different theme.

Valentine's around here is pretty low key...my husband and I usually go out for dinner but it's not typically on Valentine's Day as we are often working around his call schedule! We always do a special dinner at home for the family and I like to make heart shaped molten chocolate cakes. My boys LOVE them! This year I plan to do something special with the family as Valentine's Day falls on the Canadian Family Day holiday weekend this year!

Valentine's Day...such a special day. Both of my daughter's take my 4 gorgeous grandchildren to a professional photo studio and have their picture taken. Seveal years ago my daughter's made scrapbook type hearts and each one of the children hold their heart for the picture...I absolutely love it! I hope everyone has a GREAT Valentine's Day!

Handmade cards all around - we make a party out of creating them for all the older female relatives but then sneak off to make those for the immediate family in private - and lots of sweetheart candies and other little treats delivered throughout the day -

We have usually been pretty mellow about Valentine's but we do handmade cards for those we love. This year I am looking for more things to celebrate so I'd like to work up some decorations. A nice cure for the winter blahs!

We celebrate Valentine's Day the weekend before or the weekend afterwards. We have decided that this makes the evening calmer and more romantic.

I usually celebrate Valentine's Day from the 12-14. We start on the 12th because that is our anniversary and every morning I usually give my hubby a gift that leads up to the main gift that is given on Valentine's day. I always make the gift and then on Valentine's day we all (kids included) exchange cards. We also make cards for the kids to give out at school...I look forward to this every yr and this yr will be different because my oldest doesn't want to give out Valentine's anymore (he is in middle school).

This year I'm going to try something I'd read about in a magazine...leaving a trail of kisses (Hersheys, of course) from the girlys beds to somewhere else in the house (which is yet to be determined).
Thanks for the giveaway and the connection to so many great ideas!

Well, this is only the 2nd Valentines day my husband and I will have been together on the day. Last year we went out to dinner at a chicken restaurant. This year we may go bowling. The bowling alley is having a special couples bowling night.

We usually go out...not a fancy place just somewhere we can talk and eat. Then we exchange cards and small gifts, handmade if possible.

A couple of years ago I made my son and his lady a special mini mini book with various pics of them end sent it packed in tiny hearts. Loved that one. Normally my husband and I just hang out and cook together. Am going to try and add in some little special love notes this year in the week leading up.
