The pool. We go to the pool TONS in the summer. It's a great way for our kids to let out all their pent up energy! And let's be honest, it's my sanity, some days. lol.

Living in Utah, I'm only 3-4 hours away from some of the most amazing National Parks. Every weekend during the summer we get away to play and explore.

Camping at Perrygin Lake State Park in Winthrop WA! My father was the manager of the park for 19 years, and all of his fellow state park ranger friends and their families always came for a July campout at our park. Now that Dad has moved on to a higher position, we get to go camp out with the rest of the "tourists"! Fun times with people who have known me since I was a kid. Now that my boy is 2, this will be his first time, and the first ranger GRANDKID at the campout!

The kids and I enjoy sleeping late (hooray for no school!) and read books together in the afternoon when it's just too hot and humid to be outside. We also visit family as much as possible (hooray for no school!)and swim with the cousins in grandma and grandpa's pool.

Boating!!! My husband and I started boating the summer before we got married- and have done it every summer since! I also love growing veggies- and started that right after we got married too! TWO happy traditions!

Love ALL of these giveaways. :) Thanks for the chance to win!
Our favorite summer tradition is celebrating our wedding anniversary! We always go away to the Texas hill country for a weekend and visit wineries, stay in a b&b, and just enjoy the long summer evenings together. :)

Boating with the family is a favorite summer tradition. Not only do I get to spend time with those I love but I am not distracted by my to-do list or the computer. Both of which can eat up valuable family time.

Summer traditions, sounds a wee way off yet, summer evening family walks on the beach, getting in the garden after work, BBQ teas on the patio, early morning walks, weekends at our holiday house in Twizel (soon to be our all year round home!) and ice cream, did I mention ice cream!!

I am a summer baby, so celebrating my birthday is definitely a summer tradition. This year I'm thinking of afternoon tea in the garden with a nail artist painting our toenails happy with tiger stripes and diamante studded daisies.

Spendng it with the kids (ages 5 and 7) -- long swim sessions in the pool, digging giant holes in the sand at the beach, and going to the Fiesta parade and mercado each year to ride the kiddie rides and eat churros.

What awesome giveaways! For us, our summer tradition has been to get our inflatable pool out for the girls. We started with a baby pool when they were first born and then graduated to a 10 ft long one! It'll fit all four of us at one time.

Every June my little guy and my niece and I make homemade strawberry popsicles. Our berries are peak so tomorrow is the day! Fun to do and so good for them too. 100% natural ingredients.

My fave summer tradition is having a sleepover at my youngest sister's bed! We turn the ceiling fan on and we talk our way until the morning, usually making stories up as we go along. :)

Grilling! We live in the city in a part of the country where it gets very cold and have a balcony. My husband takes his grilling seriously but is happiest when it's warm, he's putting around in the sun, and sipping some wine and enjoying my plants outside.

My town hosts a fireworks festival every summer. We pack up a picnic and arrive a bit early to enjoy the cool, evening air and then open up a thermos of hot chocolate when the sun goes down to enjoy with the show!
