Three Things : Three Giveaways

Giveaways

A fun Tuesday giveaway:

1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.

2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).

3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).

To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

We do lots of trips to local farms to purchase food to preserve. I think it is important for the kids to learn where our food comes from and we are trying to eat more seasonally and locally.
Personally, I get back into scrapbooking every fall also. Summer is a busy time for us with longer days, more time outside (we live in northern Canada and don't spend much time out of doors in the winter months) and less time for scrapbooking. Fall is a time for me to revisit all of my supplies and start a few projects that I have been saving up over the summer.

Of course we do the pumpkin thing but a new tradition this year i want to start with my oldest (2 years old) is going out to collect some leaves and twigs and make an art project with them. It will be something awesome for the scrapbook!

Fall, it's by far our favorite time of the year! We were married October 22, and we try and go on a fall color tour every year on our anniversary....I love seeing all the bright yellows, oranges, and reds mixed in with the evergreens! Then, there is always hot cocoa, and tea, cider and cozy fires in the fire place! It's beautiful here in Michigan right now, and I wouldn't trade it for any other season!

Summer is my favorite season, but fall is next in line. Love the crisp air and the fall colours. We celebrate fall by going and picking up our pumpkins to carve for Halloween and we always take Fall photos. Haven't done it yet, but hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

We collect leaves and make decorations with the children, drink hot chocolate and read books. Neither thanksgiving nor halloween are traditionally celebrated here in Norway - maybe I should start with thanksgiving in our family since there are so many things to be greatful for!

Every fall we have a celebration in honor of my neice, Kara, because it's her birthday. We call it "Kara Days". We've made pies, turnovers, and lefse in the past. It's a great reason to get together with family and spend time with those you love but don't get to see too often.

MMMM-fall means gorgeous weather, cool crisp clear mornings & warm blue sky afternoons, hunting season for the guys & play days for the girls, warm spiced muffins or sausage biscuits in the AM & stews or dumplin's in the PM, cuddlin' on the couch under blankets & bonfires on the hill.8)
It also means ragweed & allergies. :( Just a small price for enjoying this time of year.

What fun! The fall thing I'm looking forward to the most is actually happening tonight. My husband and I are taking our one-year-old son to the pumpkin patch to take his picture. Last year, when he was just a wee one, we took a picture of him fast asleep in front of a pumpkin. We decided that we'd take a photo of him in the same spot every year. It's like a little fall-themed growth chart!

I bake A LOT in the fall! More so this year, since I am preggers and nesting five months early! We have warm cider with a cinnamon stick almost every night, pick pumpkins and apples and eat lots of homemade soup too!

I live in sunny Ft.Lauderdale, it's very hard to get into the fall spirit. I burn a lot of Yankee Candles and oils for the season and turn the air down so it's just a little chilly in the house. :)

We are going to start a new tradition to celebrate the BEST season there is ... going to the mountains to see leaves ... not very unique, but a GREAT experience!

Fall is one of my favorite seasons, I love the crisp weather, the leaves changing and warm sweaters. We love long walks in the woods, and taking pictures of the different colors the trees produce. We have a fall picnic every year with chili, roasted hotdogs on the fire and of course s'mores. Yum!!

Every fall my in-laws purchase apples for us at Gays Mills orchard and then we make apple crisp, apple pie & baked apples with them. YUM! We also have leaves to rake up, but prior to that the girls enjoy playing in them. We love fall----it's our last hurrah before the cold sets in. :)

I celebrate fall by just watching the leaves change and seeing what a beautiful world God has given us! I also really get into the holiday spirit by working on Christmas gifts. It makes the entire time from October to New Years such a wonderful, giving time. I just love Thanksgiving and Christmas!

I celebrate by decorating and surrounding my home with beautiful fall colors: deep reds, burnt oranges, greens, etc. and sipping hot cider by the fireplace. It doesn't get any better! :o)

Living up in Canada we see some really nice colors in the fall. My Dad and I like to go out and take pictures of the scenery. Ontario has a lot of different landscapes so some of them turn out absolutely beautiful. It's also the official countdown to Christmas season! Ever since I was a kid I loved Christmas and still get excited about it so my Dad will start the countdown to join in the excitement. Sometimes I forget I'm a grown up... ;o)

Meg, I hear ya! I'm in Tamarac and fall is so hard to get into down here! I miss my childhood New England days of leaves turning colors (of course I hate what comes after that so it's a trade off)
We had a nice "crisp" 70 this morning. That's as fall as we get

I celebrate fall by layering my clothes. It seems silly, but I love the jackets, shoes, etc.

I absolutely love fall. I don't do a lot of Halloween decorating, but I love to decorate my front porch with pumpkins and hay bails, etc. We always rake a big pile of leaves and take pictures while jumping in them! I also get out a lot of pumpkin recipes and the baking begins!
