Sponsor Giveaways : Tracey Clark for Big Picture Scrapbooking, Emera Bags, Shimelle.com
Three people will win a spot in Tracey Clark's upcoming class at Big Picture Scrapbooking called Picture Spring.
From Tracey: If someone would have told me what I know today, I’m not sure I would have believed them. That the dew of morning could be magic. That a brand new bud, longing to bloom could cause for celebration. That a cup of tea could whisper an enchanting tale. That what was on my cutting board could bring me back to center. That a dandelion could restore my hope. It’s as though the entire world around me has woken up as have I, as I look both inside myself and out and feel as if every blade of grass, every shard of light is a brand new muse.
It is all of these things that prompted me to create Picture Spring; my new online at Big Picture Scrapbooking. A 30 day soulful seasonal celebration of these muses and using our cameras to seek them out. For all the details on registration on how you can awaken your senses and your lens this spring, visit me over there. I’m giddy with what we’ll discover together.

Have a wonderful weekend!
I have a really sweet picture of my daughter in the backyard. The lighting was perfect and she's holding a lemon that she just picked so she looks very proud and happy. I love that picture!

My current favorite photo is one of my 6 year old swimming; for the longest time he had a somewhat fear or determination not to go under the water. Seeing this current photo with his proud look and delight is definately treasured!

It is hard to decide which one of my current photos is my favorite since I take a million of my beautiful 2 year old niece and they're all my favorites! Maybe that is why I have such a hard time trying to decide which ones to scrap.

Any photos of my girls are my favorite because at 17 and 20, it's rare that they let me take one of them!

My current favorite photo is a profile shot of both my 6 month old daughter and her great grandmother. They are both smiling at one another with the warm light of the fire in the background. What a gift to have these two generations interacting and the picture to document it forever!

My favorite photo is one of my 2 year old, Hope. She has a black eye and a cut across here nose in it. She had just been playing with the phone pretending to take messages and I took the phone to snap a close up. The look she gave me could have cleaned the rust off a nail! But I love it! It's just so Hope.

My current fave photo shows my 18 year-old son beside me acting goofy. About to go off to college, he stills hugs his mom for the world to see. Love it.

My favourite photo right now is of my wedding day ... my husband and I kissing, leaning against his favourite old musclecar, near the ocean's edge where we live. Reminds me of all we've shared in our past and all that's yet to come.

In spite of the fact that I almost never leave home without my camera, my current favorite photo is one that was recently e-mailed to me by my son, a Soldier deployed to Afghanistan.
My son is standing atop an outpost, a round flat-topped turret of an old castle perched high on a mountain. The photo was taken in the early morning by another soldier standing on an opposing turret so the only part of the castle visible in the photo is the very top of the turret where my son is standing and the top of the wooden ladder he climbed to get up there. There are majestic mountains veiled in the morning mist (Pakistan, actually) in the distance and far, far below in front of the mountains is the outline of a village and a body of water.
My son, outfitted for combat, is standing with his feet spread shoulder width apart, his arms folded across his chest, no helmet or sunglasses, and with a confident, closed-lip smile on his face looking directly into the camera.
From a flapole supported by the stacks of sandbags rimming the perimeter of the turret, a large American flag flutters above my son's head. It is the only bright color in the photo and it's breathtaking!
Until this 12-month deployment ends in May, this will remain my favorite photo.
Love, love, love the camera bag! Thanks for the opportunity to win.

My current favorite photo is one taken when my boys were about 3 and 5. My mom took it, so I am actually in the photo with them. It is sweet!

My favorite picture is one I took of my daughter when she was three years old. Although I am not a professional photographer the shot was frame well and captured a part of her personality.

I took photos of the little girl my sister babysits. She had never been fishing and we took her out to ice fish. (It is so NOT spring where I live ... though I'm holding my breath!) I love this one picture of her holding the bait. It is so innocent (can holding a bait be innocent?) You can just see this huge giggle about to come ... yet I caught the picture just before the fish flopped around in her hand -- just when she was still facinated by the soft scales and detailed colorings.

Funny you should ask.. I think our "favorites" are ever changing but one that I really like and is my screen saver on my computer is a picture I took of my morning glories in bloom last summer. It is just so fresh and makes me want Spring open everything up Right Now. I have been wondering what to do with all my garden pictures and Tracey may just have the answer! Thanks for the great give away Ali!

My favorite photo is one of my mother when she was 18 years old. She is wearing a jaunty tam and a coat with a fur collar. I love the sepia tone of it--and it is naturally aged which makes it ever more perfect.
