Three people will win a spot in Tracey Clark's upcoming class at Big Picture Scrapbooking called Picture Spring.

From Tracey: If someone would have told me what I know today, I’m not sure I would have believed them. That the dew of morning could be magic. That a brand new bud, longing to bloom could cause for celebration. That a cup of tea could whisper an enchanting tale. That what was on my cutting board could bring me back to center. That a dandelion could restore my hope. It’s as though the entire world around me has woken up as have I, as I look both inside myself and out and feel as if every blade of grass, every shard of light is a brand new muse.

It is all of these things that prompted me to create Picture Spring; my new online at Big Picture Scrapbooking. A 30 day soulful seasonal celebration of these muses and using our cameras to seek them out. For all the details on registration on how you can awaken your senses and your lens this spring, visit me over there. I’m giddy with what we’ll discover together.

Picture Spring is a 30-day guided e-class at Big Picture Scrapbooking that will encourage and inspire you to use photography to celebrate the season of new beginnings while honoring and nourishing your creative spirit. With a new email and fresh perspective in your inbox each morning, you'll use the daily photo prompt to help open your mind and guide your lens to see and capture your life and the world around you. Whether you are an expert photographer, or just starting out, this project will help you see things in a completely new light. Taught by Shutter Sisters founder Tracey Clark, Picture Spring will offer a warm, welcoming Shutter Sisteresque invitation to discover the season; camera in hand.

Oh, that's almost worse than picking a favorite child! If I had to pick, a photo of my daughter from last summer in the grass. It's a close up of her face and she's smiling really nicely. (which is rare these days because she's really doesn't like to have her picture taken.)

In June of 2009 my grandson was born. My son took the most wonderful photo of his wife and daughter gazing lovingly at the new addition. Priceless.

I was just sorting pictures this week and came across one from this past Halloween. It is slightly blurry and my eyes are squinty, but it is one of the few I have with the three of us (DH, DS, me). Everyone is happy and we are all focused on each other, so it is a definite favorite in my book!

My current favorite photo is of my grandson riding his new spiderman bike that his grandpa bought for him. The lighting was perfect (a typical cloudy Oregon afternoon)and I got a great close up of a very happy four year old boy!

I love the new photo my husband took of my son running. Without knowing it he captured his reflection perfectly in the new rain fall on the ground.

A comment and a question. Thank you once again, Ali, for the give-aways, although an answer to my question will be greatly appreciated. We live in the TRUE NORTH of Northern Canada, so above freezing temperatures in February and March are unheard of - except in 2010. I have a photo, taken in February, of water POURING out of the downspout. Now mid-March we still have Spring-like weather. Wonderful! Now for the question - Ali, what type of printer do you use when printing enlarged photos at home? I am currently using our business office computer and printer, but I'm planning to purchase my own computer and printer. I would like a GOOD quality printer that is capable of doing large photos. Any info or link to previous comments on this would be wonderful. Have a super weekend.

My current favorite is a picture I found at my mom's house last week. It just happens to be a photo booth picture of my mom, my sisters and I. I love it because there aren't many pictures of us all together. I am 14 years younger than one sister and 7 years younger than the other. My parents weren't known for taking pictures of us so it was a great find on my part. :)

My favorite photo right now is one of my husband and son on my son's second birthday. He is nestled into my husband's shoulder trying to get comfort as a group of waitresses sang happy birthday to him. Yet, his eyes never left the dessert that was in front of him. There are priorities in life - even for a 2 year old!!!

We just got back from a trip to Barbados & I took a picture of these colorful lockers at one of the beaches. Although the paint was chipping, the colors drew me in. It's my screen saver on my laptop right now.

    Hi Ali,
Currently my favorite photo is of my 2 year old son playing. He has a mini skateboard set with a ramp and in the picture he has taken one of his brothers army men (like a ones in toy story) and put him on the skateboard while wheeling it down the ramp. It' so cute and a great reminder that kids see the world in their own unique way. I love how they mix and match their toys and come up with their own activities. Too cute.
