Three people will win a spot in Tracey Clark's upcoming class at Big Picture Scrapbooking called Picture Spring.

From Tracey: If someone would have told me what I know today, I’m not sure I would have believed them. That the dew of morning could be magic. That a brand new bud, longing to bloom could cause for celebration. That a cup of tea could whisper an enchanting tale. That what was on my cutting board could bring me back to center. That a dandelion could restore my hope. It’s as though the entire world around me has woken up as have I, as I look both inside myself and out and feel as if every blade of grass, every shard of light is a brand new muse.

It is all of these things that prompted me to create Picture Spring; my new online at Big Picture Scrapbooking. A 30 day soulful seasonal celebration of these muses and using our cameras to seek them out. For all the details on registration on how you can awaken your senses and your lens this spring, visit me over there. I’m giddy with what we’ll discover together.

Picture Spring is a 30-day guided e-class at Big Picture Scrapbooking that will encourage and inspire you to use photography to celebrate the season of new beginnings while honoring and nourishing your creative spirit. With a new email and fresh perspective in your inbox each morning, you'll use the daily photo prompt to help open your mind and guide your lens to see and capture your life and the world around you. Whether you are an expert photographer, or just starting out, this project will help you see things in a completely new light. Taught by Shutter Sisters founder Tracey Clark, Picture Spring will offer a warm, welcoming Shutter Sisteresque invitation to discover the season; camera in hand.

My favorite photo is of my daughter at three years old in a light pink coat and pastel knit Gap hat. I took the photo out on the deck which had a nice layer of snow. I zoomed in very close to her face and got an amazingly sharp photo with beautiful colors. It happened to be the first time I used my new camera, and I haven't gotten a picture quite as beautiful since then! I'll keep trying though!

My favorite is a rather blurry photo of my two niecelings at the beach. They are spinning and the smiles on their faces are amazing!

My favorite photo is one I took while taking a class. We were supposed to take photos of our feet in various spots throughout the day. I took a photo of my feet in my slippers on my scale, something I do each morning. It was especially important to me as I have recently lost 45 pounds and I have a record of my accomplishment, something I wouldn't have thought of doing without taking a class like I did.

My favorite photo is one I took of my mother last year in our backyard. The evening light was perfect and she was beautiful. Now that she is gone, I treasure that photo and that moment.

My current if one of my niece - she is bending down and it is taken from the side - but it has been zoomed in and all you see is her head (which is touching the ground) so it looks like she is upside down - but she is not. The expression on her face is too precious.

A pic of my husband holding my youngest son in the snow. The sky is overcast, and my son's red fleece jacket makes his blue eyes pop. My husband is smiling his sweet familiar smile. It's on my desktop background, and every morning when I turn on the computer, my son grins, waves, and says "Hi, Da!" to it.

To cut a long (and very scrappable!) story short; I took a really great shot of a football player today that DH really admires. We were at the Football 7's and I was very close to the pitch at just the right time to get some great shots. Great giveaways as always, thanks Ali!

Today my favorite photos are of our community honoring a fallen hero (deputy killed in the line of duty) - there are so many photos that really capture the moment, but one in particular is of 2 fire trucks with ladders extended and a huge american flag being suspended overhead. It's a sad moment, but a wonderful tribute to a wonderful man - a true hero.

current favourite photo? I take so many and have lots that I love. My all time favourite photograph and still a current top spot holder is of my daughter and a friend running in the forest that I shot two years ago.
It was early afternoon and a clear day but because we were up on the side of a mountain there was also mist, shafts of sunlight were cascading through the trees and the Peanut and her friend were running right through a perfect circle of light on the forest floor. I took the lens cap off and shot into a golden shaft to capture it and caught the most sparkly image ever. I'm still caught off guard every time I look at it.
here's a link to a blog post I that I used the picture in http://tmcphoto-peanutbutterpie.blogspot.com/2008/10/ecology-centre.html

My current favorit photo is my 3 yeard old's hand touching the water at a fountain. The kid loves the water but what I love the most about it is that it reminds me so much of my brother, that's how it started for him, had to touch the water and then he would "fall in" to the fointain somehow. It just reminds me of so many childhood moments.

With a 4 month old daughter, it's really hard to choose... so, I will say that my favorite photo that my husband has ever taken (He's not so good w/the camera) is right after my daughter was born via c-section. The doctors are just holding her up immediately after popping her out of my stomach. It's such an amazing photo.
    P.S. I'm already in Shimelle's class & LOVE it!

My new favorite photo is of my nephew Thomas sitting on Santa's lap. Thomas isn't even looking at the camera. Instead, he is staring at Santa and his hand is out, ready to tug on his beard. Too cute!
