Here's a look at a stamp I love from the new catalog and the one I'm using in my layout today:
Hello zig zag!
I decided to do a page that highlights some of the things I love about Anna right now.
Here's a look at my process:
I used the new Hero Arts Zig Zag stamp to create a pattern on my white cardstock with Jenni Bowlin Chewing Gum and Malted Milk inks. I didn't stress about making it perfect because I knew I would be adding content on top.
I started by adding a sticker border (Sassafras for Studio Calico) along the bottom - popping it up with foam dots.
I knew I wanted the title to read "Things I love" and I hoped it would fit in that space. Chipboard letters are American Crafts Goodness by Amy Tangerine.
Photo is 4x6 and was printed with a white border.
And yes, another one of those wood flags is popping up here. I love those things.
"Beautiful" is from a set of GCD Studios Melody Ross Soul Food Collection Chipboard Stickers.
For the journaling I used one of my Awakening 4x6 overlays. I opened it in Photoshop, added my text and printed on cardstock.
Along the bottom of the overlay I added a bit of washi tape (I think that came in a Studio Calico kit), her initials in those great little Lily Bee alphabet letter stickers, and an old metal arrow (I think from 7gypsies). Love those arrows. Someone should make those again.

That chevron stamp is one I can use over and over, especially as a background in my journals. The floral is pretty cool, too. I just want them all! (Does that make me sound greedy? I hope not!)

I have 2 favorite traditions..putting the tree up while watching a Christmas movie and doing the 12 Tags of Christmas with Tim Holtz. Your layout is just beautiful!

My favorite Christmas tradition when my kids were growing up was to have them tell why it is we celebrate Christmas. As they are all grown now. We now get to have our granddaughter tell us why we celebrate Christmas. I just love how children share their interpretation of things.

One of my favourite holiday traditions is making our own Christmas crackers for Christmas dinner. Oh, an making at least a dozen gingerbread houses for open house, in support of the food bank. So fun!

I think one of the tops on my list of favorites is watching the holiday cartoons with my children. Even though they are teenagers now we still love watching Charlie Brown Christmas, Frosty & Rudolph together.

My favorite family tradition is going to the Christmas tree farm. We tromp through the "forest" and look for the right tree for our family. Once we all agree my husband and son get on the ground and cut the tree. We then go to the edge of the "forest" and wait for the horse drawn wagon to carry us to the netter, shaker area. We have so much fun and look forward to it every year!
