Unravelling4

This weekend I would like to first introduce you to Susannah Conway. She is a photographer, writer and workshop leader who lives in south-west England. Her beautiful and inspiring blog can be found here.

Susannah is giving away two things this weekend:

( 1 ) One person will receive an 8x8 inch fine art photograph of winner's choice from Susannah's Etsy store. They will also receive a set of Cupcake postcards.

( 2 ) One person will receive a spot in her late summer Unravelling: Ways of Seeing Myself online workshop. According to Susannah:

These definitely won’t be self-portraits in the traditional sense – we’ll be using the camera as a tool to unlock how we see not only ourselves but also the world we live in, including the immediate surrounds of our homes, places of work and our friends and family.

Check out the complete course outline here. The late summer session starts Monday July 13th and runs for 8 weeks. A fall session will also begin in late September. Testimonials of other's experiences in this workshop are located here.

Clickinmoms

Our third giveaway this weekend comes from Clickin Moms who recently did a redesign of their website for a lovely new look.

One person will receive a one-year membership to Clickin Moms.

From their homepage:

We are a community of women who have a passion for photography. Some
of us are amateur photographers who just want to take better pictures
of our family, some of us are hobbyists, and some of us are seasoned
pros.

We learn from each other and help each
other. We have all types of cameras, from DSLR's, to small point and
shoots, so anyone can jump in!
This is a safe
place to share your photos and chat about photography.

Our forums and
galleries are closed to non-members. All members must register through
this site and Paypal, which makes it a more secure place than some of
the free photo sites.

Our site features great
and easy to understand tutorials, lessons and challenges. All of the
contributions are from fellow members who are more than happy to help
and give advice to one another.
We pay back our
members who contribute.

We offer substancial affiliate commissions and
cash/ prize rewards for members who contribute and participate. In
fact, more than half of the profits go right back to our members.

It's also a great bunch of women (and a few brave men!) that enjoy
hanging out with people that have a common passion - photography!

my favourite photo is one that i took on a hike with my husband. there was this little patch of tiny little sprouts that, odd as it seems, just seemed to burst with possibility. they were so small, yet so strong in their little clump, and i hope to go back and see how they grow

Right now, a photo I hold near and dear is one of me with my baby daughter and grandmother. It was the last photo taken with my Gram before she passed away a couple months ago. I miss her greatly but this photo always brings a smile to my face.

My favorite picture is of my three sons right after number 3 was born. The two older kids are holding him and both kissing the top of his head. I wish I had this online somewhere :)

What wonderful give-aways, Ali. My fave photo this week is my 2yo son touching his favorite thing in the world: a train! Daddy took him to a local train museum for the afternoon and he was ear-to-ear smiles for days. Liam is the terrible two's personified... this photo brought me MUCH happiness during his not-so-sweet moments this week!

I have a picture of my 4 year old daughter sitting over the heat register this past winter. Her long hair is blowing in the breeze and she looks so warm and content.

My current favorite photograph is actually a really crummy one I took with my phone. http://twitpic.com/7x144 (I hope this link works right)
The reason I love the photo so much is because of what it shows. A random Sunday at my house. My son running around in his boxers, white tee and a clip on tie! Even better than that, he is yielding a sword all while wearing a Transformers Bumble Bee mask. I love the fact that children can act so silly and not care what they look like. He has inspired me to do so much and not care about what other people think. I keep this photo to remind myself that it's ok if you don't act "normal" as long as your having fun! Life is all about fun!

My absolute favorite photo recently is one I shot of my 4 year old at Easter. Even in my mom's somewhat dark kitchen, the shot turned out! I have already used it on three separate pages. :)

My favorite picture is one I got of my twins a few days ago. They were sitting up, playing together. She has his hand on his back - looked like she was holding him steady (she learned to sit up a few weeks before him). I hope that they continue to "support" one another their whole lives :-)

I took a photo with a wide open mouth of my daughter laughing, you can't help but smile when you look at it. It makes me happy.

My 2 favorite photos are of my daughter before school. The early morning light provided just the right light...made a huge difference. Both were on school picture days and I liked my photos better than the school photographers!
    thanks,

My most recent favorite photo is of cupcakes I made for my brother-in-law's birthday this week. I found a butter cream recipe online and made the cupcake and icing from scratch. I love the way the photo came out: http://www.flickr.com/photos/eccentriccoffee/3642295799/
The recipe is on my blog. Thank you Ali for letting us share what inspires us.

Currently, my favorite photo is from a recent trip we took to Disney World. Seven of us in the group rode the Expedition Everest roller coaster at Animal Kingdom, while the other member of the group took our picture as the roller coaster rushed by. He was able to capture many frames of us screaming our heads off. The different expressions on our faces are priceless. I guess waiting 80 minutes in line for the ride was worth it! :)
