Unravelling4

This weekend I would like to first introduce you to Susannah Conway. She is a photographer, writer and workshop leader who lives in south-west England. Her beautiful and inspiring blog can be found here.

Susannah is giving away two things this weekend:

( 1 ) One person will receive an 8x8 inch fine art photograph of winner's choice from Susannah's Etsy store. They will also receive a set of Cupcake postcards.

( 2 ) One person will receive a spot in her late summer Unravelling: Ways of Seeing Myself online workshop. According to Susannah:

These definitely won’t be self-portraits in the traditional sense – we’ll be using the camera as a tool to unlock how we see not only ourselves but also the world we live in, including the immediate surrounds of our homes, places of work and our friends and family.

Check out the complete course outline here. The late summer session starts Monday July 13th and runs for 8 weeks. A fall session will also begin in late September. Testimonials of other's experiences in this workshop are located here.

One person will receive a one-year membership to Clickin Moms.

From their homepage:

We are a community of women who have a passion for photography. Some
of us are amateur photographers who just want to take better pictures
of our family, some of us are hobbyists, and some of us are seasoned
pros.

We learn from each other and help each
other. We have all types of cameras, from DSLR's, to small point and
shoots, so anyone can jump in!
This is a safe
place to share your photos and chat about photography.

Our forums and
galleries are closed to non-members. All members must register through
this site and Paypal, which makes it a more secure place than some of
the free photo sites.

Our site features great
and easy to understand tutorials, lessons and challenges. All of the
contributions are from fellow members who are more than happy to help
and give advice to one another.
We pay back our
members who contribute.

We offer substancial affiliate commissions and
cash/ prize rewards for members who contribute and participate. In
fact, more than half of the profits go right back to our members.

It's also a great bunch of women (and a few brave men!) that enjoy

Thanks for the link of Susannah! I've recently been to England and I love her style, so perfect *gg* I'd love to win a place in her workshop, so here we go..
As I said, I've been to England, took about 1500 pictures, but the one I love most isn't one that I took, but one my Mum took. We drove through the Dartmoor (South England) and visited Haytor (a big bunch of stones). I was the first of our group and straight climbed it, loving the wind blowing in my face. I'll always remeber the feeling standing up there, it was pure freedom!! And my Mum took a picture of it *gg* You can't really see it's me, 'cause the stone's so big, but I know and I absolutely love it and that moment :) Never forget :)

My favorite photo is of four generations of the women in our family taken during a recent trip to the beach, it reminds me of the strong legacy of which I'm a part.

My favorite picutre is of my five year old playing t-ball for the first time. He is on first base concentrating so hard watching the next batter so he knows when to run to second. He loves it.

My favorite current photo is one that was taken of my oldest son, he's 10. It is a photo of him pitching for the first time during a LL game. The determination on his face says it all! Have a lovely weekend!

I took the kids to the lake yesterday and before we left, we could see a storm rolling in. I took a shot of them looking to the dark sky in the sand with that waves crashing. Awesome.

My favourite recent photo is a close up portrait of my husband. I don't get to take many of him so this one is special. He still makes my heart race 19 years later. :)

My daughter has been discovering books lately, she's 11 months old. So my favorite one is her sitting on top of a big opened book and pointing with her tiny index finger.

What fun giveaways! A recent favorite of mine is a photo I took at Alki Beach in Seattle with a piece of wheat in focus and the beach is out of focus in the background. Thanks for the chance to win!

My favorite current photo is of my 9 year old daughter on her first bike ride without training wheels! It was such a long process for her to get the hang of it and feel secure on two wheels. She even rode around with only ONE training wheel on for awhile. I love the expression on her face in the photo. She looks so happy and so proud of herself :)

I love this photo of my daughter and my mom. It's been a while since I have seen my mom this happy, and watching them love the earth togather makes my inner soul smile.

What beautiful giveaways! My most recent favourite photo is of our new kitten playing. I've had to work out how to put my camera onto "Sport" setting in order to capture her without blurring - she's just too fast!

My favorite photo is one of my four month old baby boy smiling. It has been so hard to get one because everytime I pulled out the camera he would see it and stop. I finally got one!!

Since none jumped immediately to mind I went wandering back through some recent photos and discovered some of me with my two daughters taken on Mother's Day that I'd forgotten even existed. Since I often hold the camera it was fun to find these where I'd taken the time to get out the tripod...I suppose it reminds me I need to hand the camera to my husband or kids once in a while :)

Oh, so hard to pick a favorite photo. I guess my recent fav would be of my daughter up at bat (Playing softball) with my husband from behind with his t shirt that says "coach" on the back. Thanks for the chance to win and (as always) the inspiration!

My sister was just in town visiting so we took some pictures of us together. It's hard to pick a favorite - but it's pretty fun to see how we have both grown up! Since we live far apart, I think those differences are more apparent.
    Thanks for the giveaways Ali!

I've been working on the layouts for my 6 year old's last birthday. We dressed up the boys in tae kwon do outfits and headbands and took them for karate- workouts. I think my fav is of them all in a line with their "serious-don't-mess-with-me" faces on. Try as they may to look mean, they just look cute.

Oh, I have so many favorite photos! One of my current faves is a picture I took of my 4 year old son and my 5 week old daughter. She is lying in a basket with a very cute red dress on and he is leaning next to her just looking at her in awe!

One of my favorite pictures is a new one of my son and husband both making silly faces. I'm not sure why I love it, other than it shows both of their personalities exactly as I see them. I love the fact that they are both doing the same thing at the same moment. It's my favorite for this week!

On Thursday I put together 4 canvas' for a friends memorial service. One of the canvas' was dedicated to the adoption of their now 22 year old daughter. They adopted Sandra when she was 8. The pictures i chose of father and daughter, are encapsulated in the look of their eyes towards each other.... "PRICELESS, AUTHENTIC, EMBRACING' love for one another.....
