Don't miss the question I posted late yesterday afternoon. Lots to think about...
I loved going on a summer family vacation best. From enjoying the sites to sleeping in the hotel, our summer vacations were always lots of fun.

I spent a few years of my childhood in Southern California, and my best memories were piling in the car with our neighbors and driving to the beach, where we would spend hours in the evenings cooking, eating (especially s'mores over the fire!), racing through the water, shell-hunting, and then piling back in the car and falling asleep in the backseat on the way home.

trips to the beach with my family - seeing the ocean and the same sites each summer - things that remained the same and the things that slowly popped up along the coast. good times!

Wow! Lots of memories to think about. The one that comes to mind the quickest is staying with my grandparents for a couple weeks every summer and CAMPING! My favorite thing was to float down the river and catch Crawdads.

We had a view of the town fireworks from our front lawn - so lots of neighbors and friends would gather for a cookout, and firework watching on the 4th. My dad always brought us sparklers and it all seemed so magical.

My favorite childhood memory is long lazy days at the lake with my family. The wonderful thing about it is that it still continues to this day....my husband, daughter and I are on the way to the lake to meet my parents right now!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the summer tag pack. What fun!!

My favourite summer time memory is spending time with my cousins playing baseball at my grandparent's house - for some reason when we were there we were free to get dirty, eat sugary things and just generally be kids for a few weeks - it's still one of my favourite spots to go.

My favorite memories is time spent at my grandma and grandpa's house on the lake. Food, fun, and many young cousins to run around with and swim in the lake.

I used to love spending ALL day in the pool with my sisters and cousins. We would only get out when my mom brought cokes and tunafish sandwiches out for lunch. When the typical afternoon thunderstorms rolled in, it was like pulling teeth to get us to come in. It seems so long ago now! :)

and I forgot my memory! One summer when I was fairly young (5 or 6) and my sister wsa young (3 or 4) the fairies came to our front yard while we were playing out back. I remember being so excited over the playthings the fairies left (streamers, ballons, petite snacks).

my favorite childhood summer memory is the Summer of Canasta. . .my mom was a teacher, and one summer, we played EVERY day - we'd sit at the kitchen table with a pitcher of lemonade and play - she taught me all sorts of variations - it was the best.
