My favorite summertime memory is spending crazy amounts of time in the swimming pool and turning as brown as a berry from all of the sun.

My favourite summer time memory is when we stayed in Italy with my grandparents. In the mornings there used to be a man with a motorcycle driving through the streets screaming: "Granita Granita Granita di Limone, Granitaa!" He sold ice-cream and my grandma always bought one for me before breakfast :) I still loooove ice-cream!

My favorite summer memory was when we would stay in a cabin in Wisconsin. We would swim, and there was a little store on the premises where we could buy pop.

My favorite summer memory is the popsicle that I got after swimming lessons. They were homemade by the swim teacher and I loved them!! Love Elle's studio, thanks for the chance at some goodies!

My favorite summer childhood memory was every summer our family of four would ride 12 hours to Rehobeth Beach, DE, from Ohio, for our weeklong vacation. All four of us would be squeezed into the cab of my dad's pick-up truck with no air conditioning. We looked forward to this one vacation practically the entire year. We did this trip for 12 years straight.

It's hard to choose one!!! I remember going to my mother's city every year, to enjoy the beach!!! I live in Brazil and we have always lived in a city without beaches - Belo Horizonte (my father's) and we used to visit my mother's family every summer! SOOOO good! Enjoying my aunts and cousins was really fun!

My favorite summer memory is camping in Canada in an old logging camp. No modernization at all (water, electricity, etc.). It was a rugged as rugged got - but the water was crystal clear and my family would sit around a campfire every night looking at the stars and watching for shooting stars.

My favorite summer childhood memory is going to our local park (in Chicago) with my parents and 3 siblings for my paternal Grandma's July birthday celebration. Her 10 kids (my aunts and uncles) and their 27 kids (my cousins) all gathered for the entire day. We kids had huge fountains to play in, a fabulous playground area, an unending supply of every food and sweet treat you can imagine, and enough laughter, smiles, gossip, hugs and kisses to last for the rest of the summer. How lucky I am to be a part of this family.

The summer after 2nd grade my family went on a trip "out west"--Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota. We took in all the sights & natural wonders of Yellowstone park, Mount Rushmore, etc. There were 8 people piled into a small motorhome for an entire week (or more). Good times!

I remember when I finally mastered riding a bike. I was determined to teach myself (yes, I'm very stubborn) and it did take two years to do! When I was 9, I spent so much time on that sidewalk with the pedal up and me pushing past getting it back around so that I could glide. My friends lived a few blocks away so it was important to be able to ride, not walk my bike over. Ha! I finally did it after a month that summer - with more than a few scraped knees and elbows but the triumph was amazing.

My favorite childhood memory was waking up early and driving to the river. We grew up in NYC and this was our country getaway. We would arrive EARLY (6am) and stay LATE (10pm) - eat, sleep, and swim all day with family!

My favorite summertime memories are all about the lazy days of summer. You could relax & enjoy sunny days with family & friends. I remember one afternoon in July of 69 my friends (teenagers) & I were glued to the television watching Neil Armstrong land on the moon, it was amazing!

My favorite was having gone to bed with a sick migraine when I was around 11, and waking up (feeling MUCH better) to a really quiet house and neighborhood. When I woke up the only noise was from someone a few blocks away mowing their lawn, and there was a cool, gentle breeze blowing the curtains.

My parents had an 80 degrees rule, meaning that we couldn't play in the sprinklers unless it was 80 degrees. They did not bend. My sister and I would sit and stare at the big thermometer outside, willing it to move up to 80 degrees. Those moments from 78 to 79 to finally 80 were loooong! I don't actually remember playing in the sprinkler as much as I remember *willing* the thermometer to hit 80!

My most favorite summertime memory from childhood is riding around in my pop's old blue truck with him. He'd try to get me lost by taking backroads and having me try and figure out where we'd end up. I credit that with my excellent inner compass today :)
